Lola – Now Adopted!

Failed Foster Alert 

 #Lola is Home 

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Lola is home and she hasn’t moved 

Lola came into foster with our very own Helen Diggins and her GBSR girl #Flo adopted in August, at a time when Helen and her family needed their broken hearts healing 

Lola thrived in foster and soon became BFF with Flo 
Lola and Flo are two peas in a pod. Everything they do, they do it together. They share a bed together, and they have a bath together. If one moves, the other follows. There is no Lola without Flo and vice versa 

Life slowly began to look a little brighter for Helen and her family, but then out of the blue sheer tragedy struck again!! The dreaded knock at the door brought the gut-wrenching and devastating news that nobody wanted to hear… The love of her life, her soul mate, and her children’s father had gone. No warning, no chance of a goodbye. Nothing. Gone forever 

The bottom had fallen out of Helens’ world, and her and her children were left devastated and heartbroken. Their spirit was crushed, and they lost all faith in the world, but the shining light in Helen and her children’s lives was Flo and Lola.

When Helens’ daughter, Ruby couldn’t settle at night, Lola would snuggle into her and soothe her to sleep. It’s like Lola has always been there, so when Helen asked if they could adopt Lola, we immediately, yes!!
How could we say no and break these incredible bonds that have been forged from tragedy..

Please join us in giving a heartfelt welcome to the stunningly beautiful but adorably pouty-faced #Lola, our newest member of the GBSR family!

Lola is a precious 4-year-old girl who came to us after a compassionate neighbour reached out to our page. This kind soul noticed that Lola wasn’t looking her best and, knowing her owner was struggling financially, couldn’t bear to see her suffer. With the cost-of-living crisis affecting so many, it’s heart warming to see such community spirit.

Lola’s owner, feeling overwhelmed, was relieved to hear that we could help find Lola a new home. Now, Lola is settling in wonderfully with the amazing Helen Diggins, her family, and the lovely Flo in the South East. Despite being a bit on the lean side, Lola is already showing her sweet and gentle nature. We’re putting her on a diet to help her gain weight gradually, along with plenty of exercise to build her muscles.

This week, Lola will visit our vets to treat her eye infection and prepare for her tear gland surgery and spaying. We’re so excited to see her thrive and become the healthy, happy girl she deserves to be.

So Lola, lets see if we can turn that beautiful frowny face into a happy smiley one. We have no doubt it wont take Helen and her family too long!!
