A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Aryia sweet-natured bulldog with quiet grace and joyful charm. Once she feels safe and settled, her gentle soul shines through she’s irresistibly affectionate, and full of love. Cuddles? She’s all in. Fuss? She’ll soak it up with tail wags and signature bum wiggles that could melt the coldest heart.
While Aryia adores attention, she knows when to retreat for peaceful naps, often tucking herself into bed with a contented snore. She’s the kind of dog who brings calm to chaos and warmth to every corner of the home.
Behaviour:
Aryia is a gentle soul who prefers canine companionship over toys her favourite playmate is the resident dog. Their play is usually friendly and fun, though it can occasionally get a little rough if it goes on too long, so supervision and breaks are helpful.
She’s sensitive around her paws. While she never shows aggression, she clearly communicates her boundaries and prefers those areas not be touched. Grooming isn’t her favourite activity, but she tolerates it with quiet patience.
Aryia is wonderful with children and has shown consistently gentle behaviour in their company. That said, she does have a cheeky streak when it comes to food especially in little hands so supervision during mealtimes is important. She may attempt to sneak a snack and has shown some resource guarding around food with the resident dog, so mindful management, feeding dogs separately and clear routines will help her feel secure.
Needs:
Aryia will flourish in a calm but active home one that offers gentle structure, loving companionship, and space to grow. She’s looking for a confident family who understands that rescue dogs aren’t perfect, but they are deeply worth the time, patience, and guidance it takes to help them heal.
Her ideal match is a family who’s ready to meet her ongoing needs with empathy and consistency. Aryia thrives with a laid-back, playful resident dog who can be her companion and help her feel secure. A secure garden is essential for safe outdoor time and exploration.
She’s not just looking for a home she’s looking for a team. One that sees her for who she is, and who she’s becoming.
Walk/exercise:
Aryia walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys gentle strolls, especially alongside the resident dog. She’s calm and steady.
However, she’s still learning how to respond to unfamiliar dogs approaching on walks. At times, she may bark or freeze, especially if she feels overwhelmed or fixated on another dog. For this reason, she’s not been walked off lead and benefits from calm, predictable walking environments.
Her exercise has been limited due to health needs; she needs to build up her stamina with gentle walks as she continues to heal.
Aryia has scar tissue and inflammation on her pads and walks longer than 15–20 minutes on hard surfaces can cause painful sores or open wounds. Soft terrain, short outings, and rest days are essential to protect her comfort and wellbeing.
Aryia thrives with gentle structure and thoughtful pacing her walks aren’t just physical, they’re emotional resets. With the right care, she’ll continue to enjoy the world at her own rhythm.
Toilet trained:
Aryia has been through a lot medically, and like many bulldogs, her bathroom habits are still a work in progress. She’s mostly clean in the home, but will need continued toilet training and gentle consistency as she settles into a new routine.
True to her bulldog roots, Aryia may occasionally mark soft furnishings as her own especially in new environments. With clear boundaries, positive reinforcement, and a bit of patience, this behaviour fades as she gains confidence and security.
She’s not being naughty just learning what “home” means. With the right support, Aryia will get there.
Travel:
Aryia travels well, she prefers to be a front seat passenger Princess but will settle where she is put. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from her current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Aryia is a resilient girl who’s come through several surgeries with grace—including BOAS correction, cherry eye repair, and a tail amputation to improve her comfort. These procedures have helped her feel more at ease in her body, and she’s now ready to enjoy life with the right support.
She lives with hip dysplasia, which means she’ll need lifelong pain management and may benefit from gentle therapies like hydrotherapy to strengthen the muscles around her hips. She’s also managing dry eye and allergies, both of which are easily supported with daily eye lubricant and a consistent hypoallergenic diet.
Aryia’s care needs are part of what makes her special—they’re manageable with routine and love, and she gives back tenfold in affection, loyalty, and joy.
Sometimes Aryia is boisterous in play with other dogs but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Aryia’s foster family:
Aryia, our first foster, has been an absolute ray of sunshine—gentle, sweet, and full of heart. We’ve had the joy of watching her confidence grow as she adapted to a loving home environment, and it’s been amazing to witness her transformation. While we’ll be incredibly sad to see her go, our hope is that she continues to thrive in her forever home. As a family, we’ve completely fallen in love with her and want nothing more than for all her needs to be met. She would truly benefit from having another dog companion as she adores her four-legged sister, she needs patience, love and a lot of cuddles to keep this girl happy.
Aryia’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Aryia’s story.
We have no words for this one.. But a picture speaks a thousand!!!!
Please meet #Aryia ..
One of our volunteers, Kate, received a late message Thursday night to alert us to a girl who had been severely neglected and abandoned in her own home
The owner (if we can call her that!!!) was keeping Aryia locked in a crate at the back of the kitchen covered by a door and blankets, where she was only able to come out to do her business and to eat
The lady who alerted us to her, was inspecting the property to remove all animals from the house which she believed to be a few cats and kittens.
She had previously phoned the owner to ask if any other animals lived there and which she was told, “no just the cats”.
But during the visit she noticed a dog who was clearly neglected in a crate hidden behind a door
As there was no water in the crate and so the woman asked to get the dog out so she could have water. The owner agreed but said she had to go straight back into her crate. Goodness knows how long it had been since that dog had drunk anything, she was incredibly thirsty
Thankfully the lady had seen this poor girl and reached out to us to say, this dog had been completely cast aside, living in a wreck, being left to live in her own urine and goodness knows what else!!
We HAD to act quickly; we needed this girl safe!!
Michael, a foster volunteer in the North West, stepped in to transport this girl from her ‘home’ at 10pm at night!!!
He owner willingly gave her up stating she didn’t want her anymore because her 18 month old baby wanted a rabbit !!!
Michael helped bring Aryia across to the Midlands where he met Mark, Kate’s husband, to bring her back to safety.
Mark finally got home at 12:30am with a very frightened little girl but she was SAFE…
Michael & Mark, thank you for bringing our girl to safety! You are heroes for putting this little girl’s needs before your own
Yesterday morning, Kate gently assessed Aryia… she was petrified, and it took over 40 minutes for Kate to coax Aryia to immerge from her crate, she was so closed down.
Aryia was covered in fleas, they were jumping off her, her back is covered in open sores, her feet are covered in sores and thicker skin from where the fleas have been living. She was imprisoned in a crate literally being eaten alive by fleas…
Her eyes were gunky, she was filthy, she stunk of wee and was completely covered in urine stains
Obviously, she has been bred from as well, we wouldn’t expect anything less considering the calibre of owner she sadly ended up with
After assessing Aryia, Kate took her straight to the vet who confirmed Aryia has a double eye ulcer in one of her eyes, she has cherry eye that will need repocketing, along with open sores that are infected
She had come away with a bag of treatment, eye drops, antibiotics and pain relief, along with a fast-working flea treatment.
Aryia has had a small transformation on the exterior today but has such a long way to go to conquer the inner transformation
She is so in desperate need of love but isn’t sure how to receive it yet
Kate is just a pit stop for Aryia whilst we organise a long-term foster for her, so she will be moving over the next few days.
Huge thank you Kate, her husband Mark and Michael who stepped in to rescue Aryia from the most miserable life, we are very grateful
So please welcome Aryia we can’t wait to see the next part of her journey!
