Izzy – Now Adopted!
Izzy is Home
Many of you will remember our lovely Izzy, who arrived in foster care with her siblings a few months ago. She was one of the youngest of the group
Izzy was first collected by our wonderful rescue coordinator, Emma, and stayed with her family while a permanent foster placement was arranged. During her time there, Izzy revealed herself to be a gentle, loving girl who simply needed the space and patience to bloom.
She then moved into the Seymour household, joining resident dogs GBSR Drey, Iyla, and Indigo. Izzy and Drey formed an instant connection—playing together, walking side by side, and ending their days snuggled up close. They quickly became inseparable.
During her foster stay, Izzy fell very poorly. Thankfully, Helen was right there to rush her to the vets. It was an extremely close call, but with your support—and with Helen and her foster dad Jason by her side—Izzy pulled through and recovered quickly at home
Sadly, during this time, Izzy’s fur sister Ilya passed away . Her loss left a huge hole in Helen’s world, but Izzy gently began to fill that space with love, offering comfort as Helen navigated her grief.
And when we saw just how deeply Drey had welcomed Izzy… we knew she had found her place.
It is with the greatest joy that we announce Izzy is staying right where she is! Izzy is officially a Seymour, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
Please join us in congratulating Helen and Jason, their children Arley, Gracie, and Finley, and Izzy’s new fur brothers, Indigo and Drey!
Please give a huge welcome to Izzy — the last of the puppies to be introduced, but by no means the least
Izzy is just 11 months old. Right now, she’s a little shadow of her former self — a gentle soul who simply needs time, love, and confidence to help her shine again.
She is extremely timid and startles at every noise and movement. Izzy has become very attached to her foster dad, while her foster mum affectionately calls her “Izzy Wizzy” — her constant anxiety means she often has little accidents. Her pictures scream a thousand words.. Oh darling, you’re in the best place now – we got you
She’s such a scared girl, but we hope it won’t be long before she starts to feel safe and more like herself
Izzy is currently being cared for by our amazing volunteer and rehoming coordinator, Emma, and her family in the North East. With the help of her foster siblings, Ozzy and GBSR Emmie, we’re hopeful she’ll gain the guidance and reassurance she needs
Despite her worries, Izzy has already shown us just how much she adores children — she truly is the sweetest little soul
She’ll be visiting the vets soon for a full check-up, and of course we’ll keep you updated
Welcome to the family, Izzy!
