Dozer – In Foster – South East
Please join us in welcoming #Dozer into the GBSR family
We were alerted to a little, underweight boy who was about to finish his 7-day hold at the kennels. With only minutes to spare, we were thankfully able to step in and bring him to safety
When we reached out to our amazing GBSR volunteers for help, Gail immediately jumped into action and headed straight to the kennels to collect him
Dozer arrived in a very sorry state. He’s extremely anxious, with several hot spots across his body and painful-looking sores on his feet. His ears and nose rope are extremely filthy. He’s also very slim — but we’re hopeful these are all issues we can address and improve over the next few weeks with a little bit of TLC
Gail has given Dozer a calm, gentle environment with plenty of space to decompress.
At his vet appointment, he weighed just 15kg. The vet also discovered that one of his testicles hasn’t fully descended, and he has some body scarring that may be the result of previous flea infestations. He’s been sent home with eye drops and pain relief to help him start healing.
It won’t be long before he’s cleaned up, more comfortable, and finally feeling like the cherished boy he deserves to be
For now, please give a warm welcome to #Dozer
