A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Margot is a wonderfully affectionate and people-focused girl whose biggest joy in life is being close to her humans. She is loving, gentle and full of character, quickly winning hearts with her sweet nature and funny little quirks.
From the moment she arrived in foster, she settled into home life well and showed just how much she thrives on companionship and reassurance.
Margot absolutely adores physical contact and will happily roll onto her back to request belly rubs at every opportunity. Margot is very sociable with people, confidently greeting new humans and seeking affection, strokes and cuddles. She forms strong bonds and enjoys simply being near her family, whether that’s relaxing on her bed, following you from room to room, or joining you for a cosy evening at home.
Behaviour:
Margot’s behaviour reflects a sensitive, affectionate girl who thrives on routine, companionship and reassurance. With stability, patience and continued confidence-building, she is a loyal and loving companion who simply wants to feel safe and close to her people.
Margot understands “sit” and responds well to familiar cues such as “bed”and “no.” Her recall is generally good, as she usually comes when called and listens well to her Fosters. She also shows a willingness to learn and engages positively with guidance and routine.
Margot has shown herself to be friendly and comfortable around the children she has met so far, interacting in a gentle and positive manner. She appears relaxed in their presence and is happy to approach for attention, showing her usual affectionate and sociable nature.
Needs:
Margot’s main needs centre around companionship, stability and reassurance. She is a very people-focused dog who thrives when she feels secure and included in daily life, so her ideal home will be one where she is not left alone for long periods.
Margot currently struggles with separation anxiety and becomes distressed when left, so she will need adopters who are home most of the time or able to gradually work on building her confidence being alone. A calm canine companion may also help provide comfort and reassurance.
Ongoing positive training will be important for Margot. She already understands some basic commands but will benefit from continued work on manners, calm greetings and building confidence around larger dogs and new situations. Slow introductions to unfamiliar dogs, particularly bigger ones, will help her feel safe and prevent her becoming overwhelmed.
Walk/exercise:
Margot enjoys her walks and approaches exercise in a relaxed, steady way rather than being highly energetic. She walks happily with either handler and shows no strong preference for who takes her out.
Margot usually walks alongside the resident dog and often takes confidence from having a canine companion, happily following their lead while out and about. Margot particularly enjoys sniffing and exploring her surroundings, taking in new scents at her own pace rather than focusing on fast or long-distance exercise.
When encountering other dogs on walks, Margot is still building confidence. She is generally more relaxed around smaller dogs, while larger dogs can cause her to become watchful or fixated, especially if they approach too quickly or invade her space. Calm management, gentle reassurance and controlled introductions help her feel more comfortable.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Margot is a good girl
Travel:
Margot travels very well in the car and appears relaxed and comfortable during journeys. She settles nicely without the need for a crate and is calm throughout travel, often enjoying looking out of the window while on the move.
She shows no signs of stress or anxiety when travelling and copes well with car rides, making her an easy companion for trips out, vet visits or days away. Overall, Margot is a good traveller who handles journeys confidently and calmly.
Because of this we will consider homes up to four hours away from her foster home.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Margot finds being left alone very difficult and can become distressed, pacing, waiting by the door, barking and howling until her people return. She will need a home where someone is around for most of the day, or adopters who are prepared to work gradually and patiently on building her confidence being left alone. This will be one of the most important factors in her long-term happiness.
Margot will be adopted on a spay contract, as during her health check it was not possible to confirm whether she has previously been spayed.
If Margot comes into season, she will be recalled by the charity to undergo a spay procedure. The charity will cover the cost of the surgery up to a maximum of £350
Sometimes Margot is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Margot’s foster family:
Oh, our beautiful, cute, sweet and loving Margot! Since the day she walked into our home she came in with her cuteness overload, all she wants is love, affection and belly rubs. She will adore you and give you the most loving licks on your nose which makes foster Mumma smile every day. She’s the sweetest little munchkin with that little hint of sass!!!
Margot’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Margot’s Story
Please welcome Margot to the Geordie Bullies family
Margot is sadly another dog who found herself alone on the streets, bravely battling the harsh winter weather
Thankfully, she was found and taken to the local kennels, where every effort was made to track down her family. Sadly, like so many others, no one came forward for her
As soon as Margot’s seven-day hold period ended, she was welcomed into the loving home of our wonderful fosters, Anuradha and her partner, alongside their resident dog Loki. Here, Margot has begun her new life — one filled with love, warmth, safety, and comfort
As part of our foster process, all of our dogs receive a full veterinary health check. We were concerned when Margot showed signs of blood in her urine, so she was seen by the vet straight away.
The good news is that Margot is overall in good health. She is a healthy weight, her heart is strong, and she has now been microchipped. Unfortunately, the vets believe she may have a UTI, so she has been prescribed antibiotics and anti-inflammatories while we await the results of her urine sample.
Margot is settling into foster life well. She is experiencing some separation anxiety, which is completely understandable after everything she has been through. Her incredible foster family are gently helping her build confidence by getting her used to being left alone for short periods, which will gradually increase over time
Please note that Margot has only just arrived into foster and is not yet available for adoption. Applications are not open yet so please dont attempt to apply for her just yet. We will share Margot’s adoption poster once she has reached the end of her assessment period.
Please join us in giving Margot the warmest welcome. Your days on the streets are behind you now, beautiful girl- you will forever be safe and loved
