Can live with children: Yes
Can live with dogs: Yes
Can live with cats: Yes
Current Location: Leicestershire
Personality:
Alfie is a lovely young dog who is great with children and other dogs. He loves to play and have lots of cuddles and attention. He loves to chew his bones and likes a bit of rough play.
Things to be Aware of:
Because of Alfie’s heart condition he is kept on a lead when walking as he isn’t allowed to have strenuous exercise. He can only have short walks * see comments below *
The Ideal Family:
Alfie is a young dog who loves being around people so will fit into a family where someone is home for most of the day. He is great with other dogs and children, although being a young boy, we recommend children are over 12 months old as he is still learning boundaries.
Other comments:
Alfie has a Grade 3 heart murmur and has had surgery for condition. He will require ongoing medication for the rest of life. He may need further surgery, but the charity will cover all heart related costs.
Because if this, he needs to stay under the care of a specialist Veterinary Centre in Shirley, West Midlands so we can only consider applications within a reasonable distance.
If Alfie is left during the day, this should be limited to no more than 4 hours. He is young and will chew if left so we suggest he is crated for these short periods.
If you have any questions, please ask Louise Toon, his foster mum.
Alfie’s adoption fee is £400 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.
If you feel you can offer the perfect home to Alfie then please complete our application form via the link below
Please note, if you don’t meet the required criteria you won’t be considered to adopt him.
