Ava – Adopted
We have the most heartwarming news to share this morning… Ava is home!
After a heartbreaking surrender, Ava came into our care last month when her owner sadly became unwell and was no longer able to give her the care she deserved. Ava was deeply loved, and her family made the incredibly selfless decision to let her come into our care, knowing it was the very best thing for her.
Ava joined Nikki, Dean, and their gorgeous bulldog Bruce in foster in the Midlands, where she truly landed on all four paws. Bruce showed Ava just how much fun life with another dog can be, and from all the wonderful updates we received, it was clear she was having the time of her life. She was showered with love, care, and kindness, and her foster family gave her the perfect place to begin her next chapter.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Nikki and Dean for opening both their hearts and their home to Ava. We hope you enjoyed your first fostering experience, and we can’t wait to see you welcome another foster dog in need when the time is right.
Last weekend, Ava was collected by her wonderful new family, Steve and Saskia, and made the journey to her forever home, where she met her new GBSR brother, Archie. It was clear from the very beginning that they were going to be the best of friends.
Sadly, Steve, Saskia, and Archie recently lost their beloved Albi following a short battle with leukaemia. While Ava will never replace Albi, we truly hope she helps to heal their broken hearts and brings Archie the companionship he has been missing.
Please join us in congratulating Steve, Saskia, Archie, and, of course, Ava as they begin this wonderful new chapter together.

Ava’s Story
Please give a warm welcome to our newest little girl… Ava
Beautiful Ava has sadly come into our care after being surrendered due to her owner becoming extremely unwell and no longer being able to give her the time she needed. She was very dearly loved, and we kindly ask that there is no judgement towards her family. We are always grateful that we can step in during difficult times like these.
Ava is a 4-year-old spayed girl with the most wonderful personality. She is settling beautifully into her foster home in the Midlands with first-time fosters Nikki and Dean, alongside her new foster brother Bruce, who is keeping her company.
A huge thank you to Nikki and Dean for opening your hearts and home to this sweet girl — we are incredibly grateful to you both.
Following a vet visit yesterday, Ava appears to be in overall good health. She does have a mild case of entropion affecting her eyelids, along with a possible skin issue that we will continue to monitor closely. Other than that, our lovely girl is showing just how loving, playful, and affectionate she truly is.
Please remember that we do not take pre-interest applications for our dogs. Any applications submitted for Ava before her official “applications open” post will not be valid. Ava is currently enjoying life in foster care.
