Baxter – In Foster – Midlands

Please join us in welcoming our newest GBSR family member — Baxter

Baxter is currently settling in with our wonderful fosterer Rachel in the Midlands

Sadly, his family made the difficult decision to surrender him after he struggled to get along with their resident dog. They had only recently rescued Baxter themselves, just two weeks ago, and their choice to rehome him through a breed-specific rescue was not made lightly. We kindly ask everyone to respect their decision

We are, as always, grateful that we’re able to step in and help in situations like this

Baxter has already settled beautifully with Rachel and her family. He’s shown himself to be a loving, gentle boy. He appears to be showing signs of allergies, with a few sore spots, and he does have a little anxiety — but with a slow, steady hand and plenty of reassurance, he’ll decompress in no time.

Baxter is a 3-year-old, unneutered male and will be receiving a full health check at the vets on Friday

A huge thank-you to Rachel for collecting Baxter so quickly—we appreciate you so much.

For now, here he is…

This boy has just arrived in foster, and he is now beginning his assessment period. At this stage, we don’t yet know what type of home he will need.

No pre-interests
No early applications

Once assessments are complete (approx. 4–6 weeks), we will post his full adoption profile
