Bear – In Foster – North East
Please join us in welcoming #Bear into the arms of our Springboard family
Bear came to us after his previous owner, facing housing difficulties, could no longer give him the life he deserved. He had been spending long days confined to a small kitchen on his own — far from the comfort, companionship, and enrichment every dog needs
When we were contacted for help, of course we said yes
On Sunday, Bear began his journey to the North East. Mike and then Claire helped transport him, where he was finally met by Colin, his foster carer, and brought safely home. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved for ensuring Bear reached his foster family with love and care
Now settled in the North East with Alison and Colin, Bear has officially started his new chapter — one filled with reassurance, attention, and affection
His coat is in poor condition with a noticeable yeast build-up, so a soothing bath is on the agenda, and he’ll be visiting the vet soon for a full health check to ensure nothing has been overlooked
Over the weekend, Bear has already begun to relax and adjust to foster life. We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Alison and Colin for opening their home to Bear when he needed someone most
This boy has just arrived in foster, and he is now beginning his assessment period. At this stage, we don’t yet know what type of home he will need.
No pre-interests
No early applications
Once assessments are complete (approx. 4–6 weeks), we will post his full adoption profile
