A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Beau is playful girl who is full of charm, always ready for cuddles and fusses. She will happily soak up all the attention from her humans.

Beau is happiest when being fussed and will happily snuggle in for affection.

She loves playtime and can be full of energy, especially with a good game of tug.

Behaviour:

Beau responds well to commands like sit, paw, and down, though she sometimes needs extra guidance with “wait” and “leave,” especially around food.

Beau loves playing, especially tug-of-war. She can be possessive over her toys, so supervision and ongoing training in this area is recommended.

Beau thrives in a calm, reassuring environment where she feels safe and included.

Needs:

Beau will thrive in a calm, caring household where she gets plenty of attention.

She’ll benefit from outdoor space to explore and play safely.

Beau needs consistency and training to help her with food manners.

She’s happiest with regular exercise and a steady routine each day.

Walk/exercise:

Beau loves going on walks,she walks calmly without pulling and waits patiently.

Beau is comfortable walking solo but also behaves well alongside another dog.

Beau has walked with other dogs calmly and is generally friendly, though sometimes a little cautious at first.

Daily walks keep her content, calm, and happy.

Toilet trained:

Yes, Beau is a good girl.

Travel:

Beau enjoys car journeys and settles in well. Because of this we will consider homes up to four hours away from her foster home.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**

Things to be aware of:

Beau can become itchy if she eats chicken or fish so will need to be kept on her current diet.

Due to a recent season Beau will be re homed on a spay contract. She will be recalled in November for the procedure, which will be carried out at a vet chosen by the charity, with the cost covered by the charity for a basic spay.

Sometimes Beau is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information from Beau’s foster:

Beau is a beautiful little girl, very loving with lots of kisses to give ! Just needs regular walks, attention and a good scratch!

Beau’s adoption donation fee is £400 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog. If you cannot agree to this, please don’t apply**

Please welcome Beau into our Springboard family

Beau is a 5-year-old entire girl who has been loved by her family but work commitments meant she was being left for long periods and not getting the attention she once had, so her family reached out to us to see if we could take her

We want to thank Colin O’Brien for offering to collect Beau and foster her for us. We are very grateful to you for stepping forward to help this little love of a girl

Beau has settled in very well and is loving having the company of Colin.

She is a little underweight and she has yeasty ears that look infected and a dirty nose rope but apart from that she seems to be in good health, and we can sort these issues with a good diet and a bit of loving care and a short course of meds

Beau will have her vet check this week so we will discuss her spay and obviously get meds and cleaner for her ears and then she will have a few weeks of assessment with us

Beau has been brought up with children and she is also great around other dogs, so we think she is going to be a very popular girl
