Bonita – Now Adopted!

#Bonita

We have fabulous news to share with you! Our gorgeous Bonita is home!!!

Bonita came into foster back in February after one of our volunteers shared a social media post about her being rehomed due to her owner sadly passing away. Thankfully, Bonita’s temporary carers surrendered her to us to ensure Bonita didn’t fall into the wrong hands.

When Bonita arrived into the arms of her GBSR family, she wasn’t the happy little girl she is today  She was very scared, lacking any confidence, she had a horrendous tail pocket infection and to top it off, came into season just as she arrived!

But with the buckets of love, time and patience from her incredible foster family, Bonita soon started to flourish into a confident and sassy girl!

Bonita’s foster journey started with Rachel Dingle and her family, but unfortunately, Bon didn’t settle due to so much change, so she moved to join Ceara in the North West. Thank you Rachel welcoming Bonita into your home and for getting her so quickly!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Bonita’s foster family, Ceara, Barney and fur foster brother Lenny for opening your heart and home to our girl You jumped into your first foster journey with both feet and an open mind, and we truly hope you have many more foster journeys with us in the future

On Saturday, Bonita was collected by her new parents, Teresa and Danny and made the journey home to join the rest of the family, Chelsy, Oliver and Ronny the bulldog

Bonita has already made herself right at home and is becoming bff’s with Ronny. They’ve even got new matching harnesses, how cute!

Please join us in congratulating Teresa, Danny, Chelsy, Oliver and Ronny  on their newest family member Bonita!

A little of Bonita’s story below,

Bonita

Please welcome 2-year-old Bonita into our Springboard Family.
Earlier this week, one of our volunteers alerted us to the plight of Bonita after seeing a post about her on social media.

Her owner had died, and she was in very temporary care whilst a safe rescue space was found for her.

Yesterday, Foster Volunteer Rachel Dingle collected this sweet little girl for us

Bonita was a bit unsettled overnight, not just because of the recent changes in her life she is dealing with, but also because she has the most horrendous tail pocket infection.

She is literally oozing and the skin on her rear end is starting to break down

Bonita has been booked in to see the vet at 3pm today so by tomorrow she should start to feel a lot more comfortable.

There will be an update post vet visit, and we are keeping everything crossed she doesn’t need her tail amputated

Thank you to Kirsty Law for alerting us to this little love, she is in safe hands now

Please don’t try and apply for Bonita, she will need a period of assessment and spay but you can follow her journey on our Facebook Community Group

Welcome to the rest of your life Bonita
