Dogs: Yes, laid-back dogs that are accepting of new dogs in the home.
A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Boris and Bruno are a beautiful pair of bonded brothers, who depend on each other deeply.
Their affectionate nature is shared with both humans and dogs in the home.
Behaviour:
The boys love to play they will initiate play and will share toys with each other and resident dog.
Boris is very laid back and nothing seems to faze him. He loves his comforts, and is a big, cheeky, playful softy. He always has his tongue out and loves the garden.
Bruno is more sensitive and quieter, although he has a cheeky side. He loves cuddling and sitting with you. Bruno will sit and watch you eat but doesn’t beg. He loves having his armpits scratched in the morning and when he gets up.
Both are an absolute pleasure.
Needs:
The boys need a calm easy-going environment, with a family who will keep them involved with daily activities.
A family who understands a bulldogs needs and can provide the balance and boundaries they need.
A garden is a must.
Walk/exercise:
Boris and Bruno love their walks, they walk well alone and in company.
They like to walk side by side on lead, when off lead Bruno tends to stay at your side and Boris a little more inquisitive will explore his surroundings.
The boys will interact with unfamiliar dogs and people when out.
Toilet trained:
Yes, the boys are very good.
Travel:
The boys travel well, because of this we will accept applications of up to four hours away.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Boris and Bruno will not be rehomed with any entire dogs.
The boys are booked to be neutered on the 09/09/2025,should they be adopted prior to this date, GBSR will arrange for the boys to be neutered at a vet of the charities choosing with costs covered by the charity.
Sometimes the boys can be excited and can hump butthey don’t realise their size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as they have the potential toknock children over.
Their humping is anxiety based and once they are settled this behaviour does stop.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Boris & Bruno’s foster family:
They are a perfect double act and an absolute joy to have around. They make us laugh every day with their cheeky personalities and whoever adopts them will be very, very lucky.
The boy’s adoption donation fee is £800 and will need to be paid in full prior to them going home which will also be subject to a home check.
**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog. If you cannot agree to this, please don’t apply**

Boris is the darker boy & Bruno is the redhead
The boys are 6-year-old entire brother’s and sadly their owner’s situation has recently changed meaning they could no longer be cared for as they had been.
Please no judgement, these boys have been very much loved, and their owner has put their needs before their own leaving them heartbroken
We want to thank Jo Logan for travelling to collect the boys for us and for offering to foster them both into foster in the Southwest. We very much appreciate you opening your home to the boys
Introductions with resident Spaniel Lenny seem to be going well and after a bit of unsettled night, the boys are starting to decompress.
The boys will need a vet check, Boris appears to have a bit of a dry eye, but they both appear to be in good condition, so hopefully they will be neutered in the not-too-distant future and once assessed they will be ready for their new home.
