A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Bruno is a bright young bulldog; he is intelligent with a cheeky and playful nature.
Bruno adores his humans and will seek them for attention and affection.
Happiest at your side, he thrives on physical affection, and he is eager to please.
Behaviour:
Bruno has been undergoing clicker training and responding very well, he has picked up his basic commands and enjoying the interaction that training brings.
Bruno still has puppylike tendencies and can take and chew on things he shouldn’t.
Bruno loves to play and has been learning to play with toys, his favourite being a good ball.
Bruno does like a bit of rough play but can be over excitable, so this hasn’t been encouraged during foster.
Bruno eats far too quickly; he has been having his meals using a snuffle mat we would encourage his forever family to continue this.
Bruno can be startled with new noises, screwdrivers, drills, hoovers.
Needs:
Bruno needs an active family environment, with a family who has the time to continue his training.
Bruno will benefit from a laid-back, playful and tolerant doggy companion in the home to teach him the ropes, be a play companion and keep him company whilst his humans are away.
A garden is a must for this boy.
Walk/exercise:
Bruno loves his walks; he walks very well on lead and can walk alone and with company.
Bruno is happy to interact with unfamiliar dogs and will initiate play.
Bruno is easily distracted from any dogs reacting negatively towards him.
Toilet trained:
Bruno is a good boy, he may have the occasional accident initially, but as soon as he understands what you expect from him, he will pick up new routines quickly.
Travel:
Bruno loves the car; he will settle down wherever you put him.
Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours from his current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Bruno has undergone entropian eye surgery, his eyes will need regular checks to monitor for dry eye. This will be the responsibility of his new family.
Sometimes Bruno is excited to play but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to barge, jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Bruno is an incredible boy, full of character and just that perfect hint of naughty to keep you on your toes.
Bruno will be the most amazing addition to any family looking for their forever pet, and he will spend his days making you laugh and living life to its fullest.
Bruno’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.
**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog. If you cannot agree to this, please don’t apply**

A little of Bruno’s story below,
Bruno
Please welcome Bruno into our Springboard Family
Bruno is a 2 year old entire boy who has found himself in kennels and unclaimed.
He has very severe entropion on both eyes and even blinking is uncomfortable for him, its probably been like this from a puppy so the love often just keeps his eyes closed.
Bruno is in temporary foster with Clair Bear Pickering in the North East while we wait for his permanent foster at the end of this week.
Thank you for taking Bruno, Clair, you have been an absolute star taking him at short notice .
Bruce has lubricant for his eyes and Clair has been able to clean them as well so he is a lot more comfortable.
As soon as he has moved foster he will see the vet to arrange his eye operation and neuter.
Bruno has been a fabulous in foster, he loves everyone and other dogs. He is a little trooper considering he way left somewhere as a stray suffering with sore eyes
