A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Buster is a well-balanced young boy his bright and playful nature shines through.
Buster is intelligent and thrives in routine, he likes to understand what is expected of him.
He adores his humans and will seek them out for physical affection and play.
Behaviour:
Buster has done very well learning and understanding his basic commands and has been learning to use a bell when asking to be let out.
Buster will seek both humans and other dogs for play, and loves a good ball.
Buster is submissive to the more alpha dog in his foster home and has settled very well within a pack.
In typical bulldog fashion he has perfected the bulldog deaf ear and can be extremely stubborn at times.
Needs:
Buster needs a calm but active family environment, one where his family will keep him included in daily life.
Buster will benefit from a doggy companion to play with, to keep him company and teach him the ropes.
A garden is a must for him to play.
Buster is crate trained; it is encouraged that his new family have a crate for him as he settles. It will give him his safe space and continuity in his new environment.
Walk/exercise:
Buster loves his walks; he walks very well alone and in company.
Buster walks at his own pace and enjoys exploring his surroundings, and he can take or leave unfamiliar dogs.
Buster prefers to stick to the same routine and area to walk, he will let you know if its time to go home.
Toilet trained:
Buster is a very good boy, he will need a toileting routine while he learns what is expected of him in his new home, he has been learning to use a bell and has done very well.
He may have the odd accident initially as he settles.
Travel:
Buster loves a car ride; he settles very well on the backseat on a blanket. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours from his current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Buster has allergies, he must stay on his current diet of Purina HA.
Buster will need to remain on medication for his allergies Apoquel 5.4mg x2 daily (Bought with prescription approximately £104 for 100tablets)
Sometimes Bruno is excited to play but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Buster is as genuine as they get, this beautiful boy will make a fantastic addition to any family. He is stubborn and charismatic and will roll over for anyone offering a cuddle and a belly rub.
Buster’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Buster’s story below,
Please join us in welcoming Buster to our Springboard family!
This handsome boy is still only a pup at 12 months old.
Buster ‘s owner reached out to us because he has a few medical issues that need addressing and treatment, and her new born baby is allergic to him.
It wasn’t an easy decision, but she has put Buster first by reaching out to us so please, no judgement – this is what we are here for, giving dogs a lifeline when they need it the most.
On collection Buster was grubby and underweight, but the most obvious thing was his eyes.
They were so sore he could barely open them and chose to keep them closed for most of the time.
He has skin issues, smelt of yeast and was sore and itchy all over. And his ears were so sore, he wouldn’t let anyone near them.
This poor boy, he is so young and was really suffering.
Buster was collected by Foster Mum Lorraine Doyle. She wasn’t expecting him to be in the condition he was, so she bathed him and gave him some lubricating eye drops just to help until he had his vet check. Thank you to Lorraine Doyle, we are very appreciative for all your support with Buster.
Buster is the most amazing little lad; he had his vet check this week and has been given medicated eye drops and meds for his ears, and already he is starting to open his gorgeous peepers and is settling well with Lorraine and her resident Bulldog Holly
Once the inflammation around his eyes has gone down, we are suspecting he will need Bilateral Entropion surgery but for now we just need to limit the damage to his eyes and make him comfortable!
So welcome to your GBSR journey Buster, we think you are going to be a very popular little boy!
