Cleo – Now adopted

Cleo is a bouncy young girl who adores human contact, nibbling ears, and loves being a part of family life. She is very active and will bound into action at the drop of a hat.

She hasn’t had any organised training and whilst basic training has started in her foster home, her new family must show commitment to her ongoing training as Cleo needs boundaries, reassurance, and human contact a lot.

Cleo loves her walks and can do this well but on occasions but will react to cars and bikes and try to greet every person she meets.

Dogs name: Cleo

Age:  19 months

Can live with children:  Yes aged 10 years and over

Can live with dogs: Untested

Can live with cats: No

 Current location:  Glossop, Derbyshire

Things to be aware of:

Cleo will bounce around and jump up at anyone and everyone to say hello and she is scared of loud noises.

Her lead training must be addressed as she can be all over the place so patience and continuity will be required.

Cleo suffers from anxiety so she cannot be left for long periods without being crated as she will find things to chew on.

On occasion Cleo has had the odd accident overnight so her foster mum leaves puppy pads out just in case they are needed.

The ideal home:

Cleo needs an active home where she will not be left for long periods and be taken for plenty of walks, ideally to places where there are no houses and no distractions like cars and bikes as these make her very anxious.

Her new family must be willing to work with her, she is bright friendly girl who has never been given boundaries.

Because she is a lively girl, any children in the home will need to be aged 10 years and over as she is a livewire and will playfully jump up and bound around.

Other comments:

Cleo really is a fabulous and loving young girl. She is very friendly and happy and she 100% loves being in the home with her foster family.

But she doesn’t have an ‘off switch’ so her new family will need to be prepared to commit to her training and inclusion into the family. She feeds on excitement and will bounce around like she is full of jumping beans.

Cleo was found abandoned at the side of the road and from her initial behaviour in a home environment, we are led to believe that prior to coming info foster, she hadn’t lived in a home. She has come on leaps and bounds (literally) but we cannot emphasize enough that her new family must be willing to work with Cleo and in return she will make a smashing addition to the family.

She is fine in the car but she knows how to escape from her harness so for safe travel she will need a crate in the back of the car.

Cleo’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
