A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Daisy has a big, joyful personality packed into a very lovable little body. She’s a sassy, cheeky girl with a wiggly bum and a happy outlook on life
Daisy is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human company, she loves cuddles, belly rubs, bum scratches, and being involved in whatever you’re doing. She’s very people-focused and genuinely wants to please, which makes her a lovely dog to have around.
She’s confident, curious, and inquisitive, enjoying time outdoors and exploring, but she also has a calm side. Once her needs are met, she settles well and is happy to relax in her bed (preferably tucked in!) and will sleep soundly through the night.
Behaviour:
Daisy is still young and learning, so she can get a bit over-excited, especially around toys. There’s no malice at all, just enthusiasm and puppyish impulse control, which is improving nicely with consistent training and calm boundaries. She’s bright and intelligent, already knows several commands, and responds well when given clear, firm guidance.
Daisy is a happy, sociable, affectionate young dog whose behaviour continues to improve with routine, boundaries, and reassurance. With the right home and ongoing training, she will continue to mature into a calm, well-balanced companion
Daisy can become over-excited, rough or highly physical play tends to make her forget her manners, especially around toys. Again, there is no malice at all, but she can jump, snatch toys, and get a bit too enthusiastic.
Needs:
Daisy needs a calm, consistent home where expectations are clear. She’s a young, intelligent girl who can get over-excited, so she benefits from owners who are confident, patient, and willing to continue her training, especially around toys and impulse control.
A secure garden is important for Daisy as it gives her a safe space to enjoy the outdoors, explore at her own pace, and burn off energy in a positive way
Daisy will need ongoing grooming and hygiene care as part of her regular routine. She has a deep tail pocket which requires daily cleaning to prevent soreness or infection, and she benefits from weekly baths to keep her skin healthy and comfortable. This care is manageable but does need to be done consistently
Because Daisy is still young and can get over-excited, particularly around toys and balls. She can become a little possessive and may snatch items when excited. Because of this Daisy will need to be re homed to a household with children who are ten years old and over.
Walk/exercise:
Daisy loves being outdoors and enjoys plenty of exercise. She is active and inquisitive, happy to explore fields, sniff around, and take in new sights and smells. Her recall is generally good, though she sometimes shows selective hearing, she responds reliably when called and enjoys following her foster around.
Daisy walks well on a lead, happily wearing her harness, and enjoys exploring her surroundings at a steady, curious pace. She has mostly walked on her own with her foster
On walks, she is friendly and sociable with other dogs, showing no dominance, she often wants to play, but is polite and manageable.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Daisy is a good girl
Travel:
Daisy travels well, but she can get a little anxious at first. Once she’s settled, usually after around 10 minutes she relaxes and becomes calm. She may need short breaks on longer trips initially, but overall, she adapts well once she feels safe and comfortable.
Because of this we will consider homes up to four hours away from her foster home
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Due to coming into foster having a season, Daisy will be going home on a spay contract to be recalled in April. The cost of the spay, up to £350, will be covered by the charity.
As with many bulldogs, Daisy may need BOAS surgery later in life. She has no problems at present, but adopters should be prepared to monitor her breathing and manage exercise appropriately,
Daisy recently had cherry eye surgery and is recovering really well. Her other eye occasionally pops out, but it can be gently massaged back in and isn’t causing her any discomfort or problems
Sometimes Daisy is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Daisy’s foster family:
Daisy is the most adorable girl, she is incredibly loving and inquisitive! Cheeky and very intelligent. She’s just a pup so is still learning lots but with the right input and time she will be even more amazing!
Daisy’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Please welcome #Daisy to GBSR
Sweet little Daisy has joined us after being found as a stray and taken into kennels. Sadly, no one came forward for her, and we were asked to step in and offer her a safe place. Thankfully, we were able to help, and yesterday she was quickly collected by our wonderful volunteer, Jo, in Wales
Daisy is already settling in beautifully. She spent her first night decompressing with plenty of space, and by this morning felt comfortable enough to enjoy a much-needed bath from her foster mum, Jo. She’s already looking and feeling so much better.
Daisy visited the vets today for a full health check:
• She has a UTI that has been causing her discomfort, so she’s now started on antibiotics
• Her microchip has been fitted, as sadly she didn’t have one
• She has received her injections
• She also has cherry eye in both eyes and has been on eye drops for the past few days to keep her comfortable
It was also noted while she was in kennels that Daisy becomes short of breath when exercising, so this will be closely monitored.
Daisy will be back at the vets next week to discuss what we can do about those pesky cherry eyes
For now, Daisy is home, resting, and already showing us just how well she’s settling in
A huge thank you to Jo for collecting her so quickly and for taking such wonderful care of this precious girl.
Please join us in welcoming Daisy to GBSR
