Daisy – In Foster – South West & Wales

Please welcome #Daisy to GBSR

Sweet little Daisy has joined us after being found as a stray and taken into kennels. Sadly, no one came forward for her, and we were asked to step in and offer her a safe place. Thankfully, we were able to help, and yesterday she was quickly collected by our wonderful volunteer, Jo, in Wales

Daisy is already settling in beautifully. She spent her first night decompressing with plenty of space, and by this morning felt comfortable enough to enjoy a much-needed bath from her foster mum, Jo. She’s already looking and feeling so much better.

Daisy visited the vets today for a full health check:
• She has a UTI that has been causing her discomfort, so she’s now started on antibiotics
• Her microchip has been fitted, as sadly she didn’t have one
• She has received her injections
• She also has cherry eye in both eyes and has been on eye drops for the past few days to keep her comfortable

It was also noted while she was in kennels that Daisy becomes short of breath when exercising, so this will be closely monitored.

Daisy will be back at the vets next week to discuss what we can do about those pesky cherry eyes

For now, Daisy is home, resting, and already showing us just how well she’s settling in

A huge thank you to Jo for collecting her so quickly and for taking such wonderful care of this precious girl.

Please join us in welcoming Daisy to GBSR
