Darla – Now Adopted!

#Darla Is Home!

Darla has finally found her forever home with the most perfect family!

In May, Darla was surrendered into foster care when her current owners could no longer afford her medical vet visits. We completely understand that these breeds are a big commitment, and we’re always grateful to be able to help in such situations. Please don’t judge them; they did the right thing by Darla.

Darla landed in foster care with Grace and Paul in the North West of England. We’re so thankful that you ensured our girl had a great start into foster before moving to Ceara to complete those final steps!

Ceara took Darla on when there were some complications with her health, unfortunately requiring further surgery and care. We’re so appreciative of you, Ceara!

This meant that we had to delay Darla going home to her forever home, but we were so lucky that her new parents, Mark and Tracey, held on for their little girl.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to Ceara, Barney, and Fur brother Lenny. You all have given so much to this little girl, and we couldn’t be more thankful and proud that you’re on our team. We also want to thank Grace and Paul for helping Darla on her journey to find her forever home.

Now, let’s celebrate Tracey, Mark, and their children, Michael and Olivia, as well as their new furry sister, Fudge. Congratulations on your new arrival! Thank you for your patience. We’re confident that Darla is worth the wait, and it looks like she’s finally found her place in the world.

Darla’s story,

Please welcome beautiful 23-month-old Darla into our Springboard family

Darla has not had the best start in life. She has suffered from Aspiration Pneumonia several times and undergone BOAS surgery. She has allergies, a persistent ear infection and wet eyes that need investigation

Her family have tried to help her but became overwhelmed with the complexity of her issues and so they reached out to us to see if we could help. Please, no judgement, its been a very sad realisation that they have gone as far as they could with Darla and they have done the right thing by asking us to help

On Sunday, foster volunteer’s Grace Nicoda & Paul Davies kindly collected Darla for us, and they will be fostering her in the Northwest. Thank you so much Nicola & Paul, we very much appreciate you travelling to collect this little girl for us and for offering to foster her

Darla has settled well and the has met her Furbro Buddy and they seem to be getting along well

We are hoping to get Darla in for her vet check this week as we need to get her skin condition under control, and she needs more meds for her ear infection. She is the happiest little girl though, a real sweetheart even with her ear infection and itchy skin

So little Darla, welcome to your Springboard journey and we are looking forward to seeing you flourish
