Delilah & George – Now Adopted!
Delilah & George are home
Delilah and George came to us in the saddest of circumstances when their owner passed away. Arrangements were made for them however unfortunately they just didn’t go to plan. They made their way into our loving GBSR family in foster, most recently with Kerry Stanley in the Yorkshire & Humberside region!
A huge thank you to Kerry on your first foster with us – not only did you decide to foster a doggy, you took on the beautiful mother and son duo in your stride!
Your forever starts now D&G, we are so happy for you! Already they are settling in beautifully and making themselves right at home with Ben & Fran! Their sass is what caught the eye of their new pawrents and by the looks of it they are already causing chaos In their new home
Please join us all by wishing congratulations to Ben & Fran as we wish them many many happy years together making lots of special memories!
We can not wait to see the adventures you get up to with your new family.

A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Delilah and George are our beautiful mother and son pair.
They are a closely bonded pair with a typical mother and son partnership.
Delilah is very much a lady, she has a quiet and affectionate nature and prefers to seek out her humans for attention.
Delilah loves all forms of physical affection.
George is a typical young male; he has an outgoing and playful nature.
George will seek attention from both other dogs in the home and his humans, he actively initiates playtime and will seek his humans for affection.
Behaviour:
Delilah is a laid-back lady; play is on her terms and she has perfected the famous bulldog deaf ear.
George is more active and likes to be involved in what is going on.
Toys can be an issue between the pair and have not been encouraged whilst living in a pack, if toys are introduced in the forever home it is advised that it is done separately.
Delilah and George have done well learning basic commands and will sit and wait for their meals. It is advised that their family continue with ongoing command training.
Delilah and George are crate trained it is advised that this continues for continuity as they settle in their new home.
Needs:
Delilah and George would suit a calm but active family home, with a family who can keep them included in daily activities.
Delilah and George’s gentle natures would suit a family with children.
Delilah and George will benefit from on going training and a family who understands the need for boundaries.
They current live as part of a larger pack and will settle happily with calm and laid-back dogs in the home.
A garden is a must.
Walk/exercise:
Delilah and George love their walks, they walk well together as well as a larger pack.
George can pull, and was fearful of traffic, however they have come on very well with leash training, we would encourage the current training and routine to continue in their new home.
Delilah and George will happily integrate with other dogs whilst out.
Toilet trained:
Both Delilah and George are very good.
They may have an accident initially but will soon understand what is expected of them.
Travel:
Delilah and George travel very well, because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours from their current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Delilah will be going home on a “to be spayed” contract she will be recalled March 2025 to be spayed at a vet of the charities choosing, with costs covered by the charity.
Sometimes bulldogs can be excited to play but don’t realise their size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as they have the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Delilah and George are the most beautiful pairing, each with very different personalities. They will make the most amazing addition to any family looking to add to life’s adventures. A readymade little family themselves looking for the perfect human addition.
Delilah & George’s adoption donation fee is £900 and will need to be paid in full prior to them going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Delilah & George’s story below,
Delilah & George
Please join us in welcoming this gorgeous mother and son duo into our Springboard family
Delilah is an unneutered 5-and-a-half-year-old female and George is a neutered 3 year old boy.
This is a sad surrender due to their owner passing away
Their owner had arrangements in place for her dogs, but very sadly, things didn’t work out.
So yesterday our Vols jumped into action and road-trained Delilah & George down the country to meet Alice who then brought them down to Kent and into foster with her Frenchie Charlie.
Thank you, Bethany Grace-Hitchen and Mandy Carpenter, for giving up your Sunday to help get these dogs to Alice, and to Alice for opening up your home to these two, it’s very much appreciated. You are all superstar’s
George and Delilah have both been full of beans playing tug, but whilst Delilah slept through the night, George was unsettled but with time he will be less anxious.
This gorgeous pair will continue to decompress over the next few days and will be visiting our vets for their health check in due course.
Please don’t ask to apply for Delilah and George as they will require a period of assessment, but you can follow their journey in foster by joining our Facebook Community Group
