Dudley – Now Adopted!
The news you’ve all been waiting for…
The little boy who returned to foster care for the third—and final—time. This lovable rogue has known pain, heartbreak, neglect, and abandonment in just four short years of life.
When he came back into foster with our wonderful Sally, something amazing happened. Instead of being overwhelmed or confused, he settled immediately. It was as if he knew he was finally at peace with Sally and her partner, Matt.
This gentle giant needed further surgery—thankfully not as extensive as we feared. Through it all, Sally stood by his side every step of the way. ❤️🩹
Dudley was incredibly lucky to have her as his foster mum.
When the time came to announce him ready for adoption, one thing became clear: Sally wasn’t ready to let him go. So when she asked if she could make it official, we could hardly believe our ears!
You’ve probably guessed by now, but if not…
#Dudley is HOME!
From the moment you walked through those doors, Dudley, your mum has adored you. She’s gone above and beyond to make sure you are safe, happy, and loved.
Please join us in sending the BIGGEST congratulations to Sally, Matt, and Dudley on their beautiful forever family.
a little about Dudley ..
Dudley is back in foster
We’re heartbroken to share that Dudley is back with us.
Sadly, Dudley is one of those souls who just can’t seem to catch a break.
He was rehomed after thorough vetting, home checks, and assurances from his adopter that they were capable, experienced, and ready to meet Dudley’s needs.
But those promises turned out to be empty.
Despite our best efforts to support his adopter, it quickly became clear that Dudley wasn’t a good fit for their ‘narrative’ — and once again, he’s been let down.
We’re beyond tired of seeing wonderful dogs like Dudley given up so readily.
But… he’s back with his Springboard family now, and that’s what matters. No more false starts — this time, we’ll get it right.
Dudley is now settling back into foster care with the amazing Sally Bennett and her partner in the Midlands. He’s confused and heartbroken, thinking he’d found his forever home — and we are devastated for him.
To make matters worse, it looks like Dudley will require surgery for a cruciate ligament injury… yes, another one. But we’ll be getting that fully assessed in the coming week. Whatever it takes, we will get him fit, well, and truly ready for his real forever home.
A huge thank you to Sally and her partner — your willingness to step forward for Dudley means the world to us, and especially to him. Thank you for opening your hearts and your home.
Please join us in welcoming Dudders back into foster.
