Eileen – Now Adopted

Eileen Is Home

We have the most wonderful happy ever after to share with you. Eileen is home, and she didn’t have to travel far to find her new family

Eileen arrived into foster at the start of December after she was found as a stray. Thankfully, the kennels reached out to us, and we were able to bring Eileen into the loving arms of our Geordie Bullies family.

Our lovely volunteer Lorraine collected Eileen and provided her with love, safety, and comfort before she made the move to join her permanent foster mum, who is also named Eileen, and her family. Thank you, Lorraine, for starting Eileen’s foster journey so beautifully

This is where Eileen’s happy ever after began to fall into place without us even realising it. Eileen was fully immersed in her foster family’s life, and little did we know that during this time, her foster mum’s son Michael and his partner Toni were falling in love with our gorgeous girl

When Eileen’s applications opened, we were over the moon to see an application come through from Michael and Toni! Our usual adoption process was followed, and our hopes were confirmed — we had found Eileen’s perfect family

Anyone who has fostered before will know that having one of your foster dogs stay close to you is something truly special. But for a foster dog to stay within the family is a dream come true 🤍

Over the weekend, Eileen went home, and as expected, she has settled into her forever home perfectly. She has even been back to visit her foster mum (now her grandma!) for a roast dinner

We would like to say a huge thank you to Eileen’s foster family for the love, patience, and care they have shown her, even through the tougher days of the foster journey.

Finally, please join us in congratulating Michael and Toni on their gorgeous new family member, Eileen 🎉

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the GBSR family… #Eileen

Eileen has come to us from a kennel after they reached out for support, and we’re glad we were able to step in. Before arriving, she had her cherry eye removed, and she’s currently recovering well from the procedure

Eileen joined Lorraine for a few days before making the move to her permanent foster home. Thank you Lorraine for providing Eileen with a safe space for a couple of days

She’s now settling into foster life with her foster mum — also named Eileen — in the North East. She’s had a couple of accidents over the weekend, but otherwise she’s doing well and taking everything in her stride

Eileen visited the vets today for her health check and has been prescribed medication to help clear up an ongoing water infection. Fingers crossed she’ll be feeling more comfortable over the next few days

Welcome to GBSR, Eileen. We’re happy to have you safe with us.
