Francis & Reggie – Now Adopted!

Reggie & Francis are home!
You may remember Reggie and Francis, who came to us earlier this year as part of a group of seven bulldogs surrendered when their owner could sadly no longer care for them.
Francis began her springboard journey in foster with Rachel Dingle and family, where her confidence slowly grew and she started to come out of her shell. We’re incredibly grateful to Rachel for giving her such a positive start.
Reggie started his own journey in foster with Penelope, who sadly passed away due to previously undiagnosed tumours. Seeing how this affected him, it was decided that he should be paired back up with Francis — and it was exactly what he needed. Very quickly, the pair earned the nickname “the twins,” thriving side by side and becoming completely inseparable.
Under Laura’s care, both Reggie and Francis flourished. Her time, patience and dedication have made an enormous difference, and we cannot thank her enough for guiding them through such an important chapter.
Over the weekend, the twins set off to their forever home with their new parents, Chloe and Dan. They’ve already settled in beautifully and are clearly loving life together — enjoying swarms of attention and fuss!
Happy forever, Francis & Reggie
Francis has moved foster homes to join Reggie, Laura and her family in Yorkshire
Reggie has been struggling being an only dog since the sad passing of his friend, Penelope
Francis, although happy to be by herself was showing signs of missing a companion after living with other dogs. It made perfect sense to reunite Francis and Reggie to give them both some comfort and companionship
We would like to say a huge thank you to Rachel for starting Francis’ foster journey and for opening your home when she needed you the most
Please read below about Francis and Reggie before they bonded
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the gorgeous and happy #Francis as she becomes part of the GBSR family
Francis is one of seven beautiful dogs who joined us earlier this week. She’s just 4 years young — a gentle, loving girl with so much affection to give
Francis will be settling into foster care with Rachel and her family in the Midlands. A huge thank you to Rachel for stepping in so quickly to collect little Franny and open your home and hearts to her
As expected, Francis is still a little timid while adjusting to her new surroundings. Household noises make her a bit unsure, and she found the wooden floors a real challenge at first
. With time, patience, and reassurance, we know her confidence will shine through.
Overall, Francis appears to be in good health, and she’ll be visiting the vets for a full check-up this week . She has also arrived in season, so with all the recent changes, her emotions are running a little high. Even so, she has already shown us what a truly gentle soul she is
Welcome to the family, Francis
We can’t wait to watch you blossom
Please join us in welcoming our little mischief-maker, #Reggie
Four-year-old Reggie arrived in foster on Monday with his kennel mate, Penelope (you’ll meet her soon ). His larger-than-life character and cheeky personality shone through the moment he walked through the door.
Reggie is currently with Aimee and Vicky in Yorkshire, but over the weekend he’ll be making one more journey to join his full-time foster mum, Laura, and her family
Apart from needing a nice bath and a nail trim, he seems to be in good health overall. He’s already showing his playful side, while also seeking out his foster mums for love and cuddles
Welcome to the family, Reggie — we can’t wait to see what mischief you get up to
