Gary – Now Adopted!
#Gary is Home
We have some fabulous news to share! Gary is home!
Gary was collected over the weekend by his new servants, Jack & Emily, they are completely besotted with him and he’s now inherited a new fur sister Bella!
Gary arrived into foster back in April, where he arrived with nothing to call his own, not even a name
That quickly changed when he landed on all 4 paws in foster with Allison and her family along with resident dog doodles
He settled quickly and started to show us little sparks of his character throughout his journey with Allison! We can not wait to see his full potential and character come out in his forever home
Thank you for coming to Gary’s aid so quickly Allison – you have been an incredible foster and we hope you’ll sign up again soon!
Now to Gary’s new parents, thank you for choosing Gary, we can see he’s going to be absolutely ruined and his kennel days are long long behind him!
Emily, Jack, Bella and Gary – congrats to you all – we can’t wait to see all the adventures you get up to
A little of Gary’s story below,
We were recently asked to take Gary as he had found himself in kennels with no claim on him.
Not much is known but we believe he is 4 years old, and he is entire.
On Saturday Gary was collected for us by Allison Tait and he is now in foster with her in the Yorkshire / Humberside area.
On collection he was very smelly but very sweet and was eager to please. He didn’t appear stressed and had a very good first night
Thank you for collecting Gary for us Allison and for offering to foster him for us. We hope you enjoy your first experience of fostering a GBSR baby and we will guide you every step of the way
Gary has been introduced to Doodles the resident Bulldog and they have been getting to know each other without any issues with visual separation using stair gates, walks together and supervised free access to each other.
So far, Gary has been a little star with Doodles … the resident cats are used to being around dogs, but Gary isn’t used to being around cats and will go to chase if they dart past but its still very early days.
Gary has had a bath to clean away the smells of the kennels and his previous life. He is starting his new life all clean and fresh
He will be having his vet check later this week and as there doesn’t appear to be any health issues, we hope to have him booked in for his neuter soon.
So, lets welcome Gary into our Springboard Family and we are looking forward to seeing him enjoy his new adventures with us
