A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Gypsy is the epitome of a companion dog; she loves to be involved in family life.
Gypsy loves all physical contact.
Gypsy adores children and will seek them out for attention and cuddles.
Behaviour:
Gypsy isn’t really a fan of rough play; she prefers love and affection.
Gypsy has been a mother hen with the resident dog in the home and is very happy to snuggle up with him.
Gypsy hasn’t a bad bone in her body and isn’t aggressive in any way and her humans can take food without concern.
Gypsy will follow you around and make camp wherever you are.
Needs:
Gypsy would benefit from a very loving home. Someone she can sit with and feel loved with a few walks thrown in.
Gypsy would ideally be re homed with a laid-back dog companion in the home, to bond with and keep company when her humans are away.
Walk/exercise:
Gypsy likes going on walks and will happily plod along at her own pace.
Gypsy is not really fussed by other dogs whilst on a walk, she will sniff them if near enough but will pretty much ignore them.
Gypsy doesn’t have any recall so will need some training in this area.
Toilet trained:
Gypsy is a good girl.
Travel:
Gypsy is a good traveller; she will curl up and go to sleep Because of this we would consider a home up to 4 hours away.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Gypsy has had surgery on her nose rope as it was rubbing on her eyes but is recovering well, she may need daily eye drops so this will need monitoring.
Sometimes Gypsy is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Gypsy is an incredible loving and affectionate girl who loves the company of humans, she is a very gentle and quiet bulldog who would make any family very happy.
Gypsy isn’t really a fan of toys, she prefers cuddles, bum scratches and kisses.
Gypsy’s adoption donation fee is £400 and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Gypsy’s story below,
Gypsy 17 December 24
Please welcome Gypsy into foster with GBSR
Gypsy is another pound girl, who found herself at the age of 6, outside, unwanted and unclaimed.
We were approached by a kennels to see if we could take Gypsy as her 7 days were up, and of course we said yes.
Thank you to Sam Hargreaves who collected Gypsy for us yesterday. We really appreciate you fostering for us at short notice and for putting this little girl’s needs first
On collection, Gypsy was subdued, and her eyes were very crusty and sore. It looks like she will need entropion surgery on the right eye and possibly her left as well, as they are both sore and wet. Her nose needs attention with balm as its incredibly dry.
She has clearly been bred from (and as usual, none of that money found its way back to care for her..!!) and she has bad teeth that will need to be removed.
As you can see, its not only Sam who has entered Gypsy’s life to nurse her back to health, she also has a super foster fur brother in Reggie
Reggie is helping her come to terms with all the changes that she has had no control over in her life and this morning, after a settled, clean night, the family were greeted with a very happy little girl
And should the previous owners see this post, then shame on you for not treating this gentlest of girls with love and kindness..!!!
Gypsy has her first vet check booked for Thursday afternoon so we will discus her treatment plan to get her eyes and teeth sorted and organise her spay.
This year Gypsy will be spending Christmas in a loving foster home with food, warmth and comfort. And this is our promise to her that she will suffer no more hardship whilst under the wings of her GBSR family.
Welcome to your Springboard Journey Gypsy, your new life awaits you!
