A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Jackie is a very polite and proper young lady. She is very affectionate and just adores her humans.

Jackie will start off a little shy, but she soon comes around and settles.

Jackie is quite the character who will keep you laughing and has the most epic of zoomies,

Behaviour:

Jackie may start off guarded with dogs in the home and she will make her boundaries known by snapping her jaw. She is not malicious in any way at all and will soon settle into her new family.

Jackie will resource guard her food with other dogs, but not with humans. So, she will need to be fed separately.

Sadly, Jackie was attacked by another dog whilst in kennels, so she is now very cautious.

Jackie isn’t a playful dog; she is a lover and happiest at your side or on your lap in she can be.

Needs:

Jackie needs a calm family environment, one in which she will be kept involved in daily activities and with someone who is home the majority of the time with her.

Jackie’s needs a patient family who understands she needs a little time to feel safe and secure, and able to put in the time and training to help this beautiful girl reach her potential.

Jackie loves a good zoomie so a garden space is a must for her.

Jackie will do well as an only dog or with a very calm and laid-back companion.

Walk/exercise:

Jackie loves her walks; she walks well alone and as part of a pack.

She may try to pull to be in front but soon settles.

Jackie loves the attention she gets off people and doesn’t show an interest in unfamiliar dogs.

Toilet trained:

Jackie is doing very well; with a regular toileting routine she will soon be perfect.

Can be left:

Jackie will settle very well in her crate; she will snuggle down and have a nap until you come home. It will be preferred if her new family has a crate to help her settle and keep her routine.

Jackie can be left for up to 4 hours with no concerns.

Travel:

Jackie loves the car; she will happily settle on the back seat. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from her current location.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting a dog.

Things to be aware of:

Jackie came into season when she first arrived in foster, because of this she will be rehomed on a “to be spayed” contract. Jackie will be due for spay in June and will be neutered by a vet of the charity’s choosing cost covered by the charity.

Jackie will not be rehomed with any entire dogs.

Any young children in the home must be supervised, as Jackie has the potential to knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information:

Jackie is the most wonderful lady, if you are looking for the perfect dog to keep you company, cuddle and love on then Jackie is the lady for you!! She will happily spend her days snuggling and enjoying walks together. She will soon make you her whole world.

A little of Jackie’s story below,

Please welcome the very beautiful little Jackie to our GBSR family

Jackie is a 5year old entire female, who sadly found herself abandoned and alone.

She was taken in by Cliffe Kennels who contacted us for help as they were finding it difficult to rehome her and she wasn’t coping well in kennels.

Jackie had been attacked in kennels by a lurcher which left her with a nasty bite wound on her face, she is on antibiotics and healing well.

Jackie is in foster with Kate & Mark Stockman in the Midlands thank you so much for very excitedly coming to Jackie’s rescue and collecting her so quickly.

Jackie is settling in with her new big foster brothers but is very cautious at the moment. She is an absolute sweetheart and has already gotten Mark wrapped firmly round her little paws.

Jackie will be seeing our vet today, and then we can start her GBSR journey and make up for every moment she was alone and frightened.

Welcome to your new GBSR family Jackie we can’t wait to see what adventures are ahead of you!!
