Failed Foster Announcement!
Jacky is Home!
Jacky, along with six other dogs, arrived into foster care at the start of October, all from the same home. He joined our fabulous volunteers Wanda and Steve, along with their dogs Winnie and GBSR Matilda, in the South West
Jacky quickly became best friends with Matilda, who has been a huge support to him throughout his foster journey. Matilda has shown Jacky how to play, helped him gain confidence on walks, and has been his cuddle buddy all the way through
When the time came for Jacky’s foster journey to come to an end, Wanda asked if she could adopt him — and after seeing how settled Jacky is, we simply couldn’t say no
Wanda has been part of our incredible team of volunteers for a while now- supporting with fundraising, fostering, road trains and hosting two walks in aid of GBSR a month!
We’re over the moon that Jacky has found his forever family and, on top of that, a best friend for life in Matilda

Jacky is the only boy out of the three 11-month-old puppies who recently arrived in foster care from a family of seven
On Saturday, Jacky was collected by his foster parents, Wanda & Steve, and made the journey to his foster home, where he was happily greeted by his foster sisters, Winnie and GBSR Matilda
Over the weekend, Jacky enjoyed a full pamper session with his foster sisters, and thankfully, he seems to be in good condition. His chest sounded a little congested when he first arrived, but this isn’t causing us concern however, following our normal process he’ll be having a full health check at the vets in the coming days
Like his sisters, we believe Jacky has lived a sheltered life, so he has been a little nervous in some situations. Thankfully, Matilda has taken him under her wing and is showing him that life isn’t so scary
