A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Koda is the definition of a loyal companion, wherever you go she will be right beside you, your constant little shadow.

Koda has the most loving nature and forms strong bonds with her humans.

Her playful and gentle temperament make her an ideal family member.

Behaviour:

Koda loves playing with toy, balls are her favourite, she shows no signs of resource guarding.

Koda had been working on her basic commands while in foster and is picking them up beautifully. Her training will need to be continued in her new home, not only to build on her progress, but also to help strengthen the bond between her and her new family.

Koda absolutely adores her people and flourishes with physical affection, she’s not shy about seeking out cuddles and attention, and loves being the centre of it all.

Needs:

Koda will thrive in a home that’s calm but active, where she can be part of the family’s everyday life’ She enjoys being included and will happily join in with whatever the day brings.

A garden to play and explore in is a must for Koda

Walk/exercise:

Koda loves getting out and about, especially when there are new smells to explore.

Koda walks beautifully on the lead without pulling and is just as happy waling on her own or in a pack.

Koda is great meeting unfamiliar dogs when out, she will have a brief sniff before continuing her way.

Toilet trained:

Yes, Koda is a good girl.

Travel:

Koda travels well, because of this we could consider homes up to four hours away from her location.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**

Things to be aware of:

Koda came into foster with very poor skin; she has needed regular medicated baths and a good diet. She will need to stay on her current diet of Burns sensitive as she is doing well and maintaining her healthy coat and skin.

Koda will be going home on a spay contract to be re called at the end of September at a vets of the charities choosing costs covered by the charity for a basic spay.

Sometimes Koda is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information from Koda’s foster:

The resilience of this girl is truly amazing. Loving/ trusting/ playful – the perfect house hippo

She’d be the perfect addition to anyone looking for a full time BFF.

Koda

Please welcome Koda into our Springboard family

Koda is a 4 year old entire girl who has experienced a very unsettled time in her life

We were asked to take Koda after she had been dumped in a crate on a doorstep having been rehomed and then returned unannounced

When her rescuers went to get her, the crate was empty and after 2 days of searching for her, they discovered the dog warden had her, so at least she was safe

We were contacted to see if we could take Koda and yesterday Kathy Anderson travelled to collect her

Thank you for opening up your home for another foster Kathy, we are very grateful to you for taking Koda for us

Koda is in a mess ..not only has she been bred from multiple times, she has been passed around, rehomed and dumped. She was good enough to breed from but no-one was interested in her welfare

Unsurprisingly Koda is taking a while to settle. She is a little bit unsettled from her horrid experiences but with Kathy & Paul’s fabulous care, she will soon start to decompress

Koda will be having her vet check early next week. We need to get a grip on her skin condition and check her eyes which are weepy and her ears are filthy & possibly infected – goodness knows what kind of life this poor girl has endured

So please join us in welcoming this beautiful girl into our family and onto her journey with us and we can’t wait to see your flourish
