A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Lady is the epitome of a companion dog; she loves to be involved in family life.

Lady is a wonderfully affectionate girl, who thrives on physical contact. Lady will happily initiate all fuss and cuddles.

Lady’s playful nature is slowly coming through, with continued support in play she will thrive and find the joy in the simple things.

Behaviour:

Lady knows her basic commands and responds well to them.

Lady is learning to play with toys, balls are her favourite, and she shows no possessiveness towards them.

Lady is great with children but will seek out her adults for attention and affection.

Needs:

Lady would benefit from someone at home for the majority of the time or a family who can take her with them. Lady relies on her humans and thrives when she can be close.

Lady needs a calm but active family environment with a family ready to encourage her training and help her reach her full potential.

A garden to explore and play in is a must for Lady.

Walk/exercise:

Lady walks well on the lead but can pull, however she has been responding well to ongoing training.

Lady is happy to be approached by other dogs on a walk if they approach her in a calm manner.

Lady will have her harness put on with no issues and is excited to go out for a walk.

Toilet trained:

Lady may have the odd accident as she settles into a new home, this is normal for any dog in a new environment.

Lady can “wet” her bed during the night, but this is easily managed.

Travel:

Lady travels really well and loves being in the car, because of this we would consider homes up to 4 hours away.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

Things to be aware of:

Lady can be anxious when left alone so any new family will need to have patience and dedication while she settles.

Lady can be scared of loud and unexpected noises but will soon settle with reassurance.

Lady will be going home on a spay contract, to be completed at a vet agreed with the charity, costs to be covered by the charity.

Sometimes Lady is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information:

Lady is everything you would ask for in an affectionate and playful bulldog with so much love to give the perfect family.

All she needs is a little time and love to see her blossoming into the perfect new family member.

Lady’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Lady’s story below,

Please welcome Lady into our Springboard Family

Lady is around 2-3 years old and was found wandering as a stray with an infected Caesarean wound … yep, you read that right. It was estimated that she had had a Caesarean section between 5-10 days before being found and not received treatment after the wound became infected and ended up on the streets…!!!!

Lady was taken to Crowfoot Kennels to serve her 7 days and luckily, they got the infection under control before we took her into foster care

We needed to get Lady out of Kennels before Christmas but we had no available volunteers to help road train this little girl so we asked on our social media for help.

Lots of people responded but it was Rhiannon that collected Lady for us and she travelled to meet Simon for the handover.
Thank you so much Rhiannon and to all the people who offered to help, you made a massive difference to this girls life and we are very grateful

Simon collected Lady from Rhiannon yesterday and she is proving to be an absolute sweetheart of a girl

Lady is on the skinny side, and she came in with itchy tail pocket and paws but with a change of food and some medicated baths she will soon be more comfortable.
Thank you very much for collecting Lady for us and taking her into foster Colin & Alison, we very much appreciate it

Lady is booked in to see our very early Jan so we can discuss her treatment plan at that point.

So welcome to your new life Lady, things will only get better from here.
