Lula-In foster

 

Seven-year-old Lula has arrived into foster care needing some extra special love and attention, as she’s expecting puppies.

 

We were alerted to this lovely girl by our rehoming coordinator, Trish, who was contacted with the sad news that Lula’s family could no longer care for her. They wanted somewhere safe where she could settle and bring her puppies into a warm, secure environment. Of course, we stepped in as quickly as we could 

 

Lula was seen by our wonderful local specialist vet, who will guide us through her pregnancy journey and support her as she brings these beautiful puppies into the world.

While at the vets, Lula had an X-ray which confirmed she is expecting between 5–7 puppies and is approximately two weeks away from giving birth!

 

We’re confident we can get everything prepared and ready for this precious girl and her unborn babies — but we truly need your help.

The cost of safely bringing puppies into the world is significant. We have already ordered all the essential whelping supplies, including milk, blankets, syringes and sponges to ensure we’re fully prepared for their arrival. Every pound truly makes a difference, and no expense will be spared when it comes to the veterinary care Lula and her puppies may need
