A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Luna is a gentle, affectionate and deeply loving girl who thrives on closeness and connection. She adores human company and blossoms when she feels safe with her people. Affection is her love language she melts into fuss, happily offers her paw for more attention, and loves nothing more than curling up at your feet or settling herself between your legs just to be near you.
She has made wonderful progress during her time in foster care. When she first arrived, Luna was quiet, nervous and unsure of the world, often retreating to her safe space whenever something felt overwhelming. With patience and reassurance, her confidence has grown beautifully. She now follows her humans from room to room, seeks comfort when she needs it, and looks to her trusted people for guidance when something feels new or uncertain.
Luna is still a sensitive soul at heart. Sudden noises, unfamiliar environments or quick movements can startle her, and when that happens she prefers to take herself somewhere cosy and familiar until she’s ready to rejoin you. She never pushes boundaries she simply needs a moment to process the world at her own pace.
Behaviour:
Luna is a well‑mannered girl who knows sit, paw, and wait, and often offers these automatically at mealtimes. She isn’t overly playful at the moment, though with encouragement she’ll enjoy a little game with a ball and will drop it or leave it when asked. She has a soft spot for noisy cat toys and loves rummaging through her toy box, even if she doesn’t take anything out.
She is a sensitive soul who can be startled by buzzing flies, loud noises, raised voices or sudden movements. When she first arrived, she avoided the kitchen if appliances were running, but she has made lovely progress and now walks past them confidently. She still prefers to watch the hoover from a safe distance.
If something worries her, Luna quietly retreats to her safe space in the lounge until she feels ready to rejoin you. She never reacts she simply needs a moment to process things at her own pace.
Luna enjoys gentle handling, is happy for her feet to be touched, and coped brilliantly with her recent claw clip. She especially loves bum scratches and belly rubs, leaning in with complete trust.
Needs:
Calm home environment — Luna thrives in a peaceful, steady household. She is not suited to busy, loud or highly excitable homes.
Humans at home — She prefers a slower pace of life with her people nearby and would be happiest with adopters who are home most of the time.
Understanding family — Luna needs a family who recognises her sensitivity and can help her feel safe and supported.
Children 8+ — Any children must be over 8 and able to respect her boundaries, her need for calm, and her anxiety around noise or over‑excited behaviour.
Continued crate use — Luna is crate trained and uses her crate as her safe space. This must be continued in her forever home.
Secure garden — A garden is essential so she can relax, potter, and watch the world go by at her own pace.
Calm resident dogs — If living with another dog, they must have a calm, steady temperament and be spayed or neutered.
Only dog option — Luna would also be perfectly happy living as an only dog with all the love focused on her.
Walk/exercise:
Luna is a steady, gentle walker who prefers calm, predictable outings at her own pace. She will happily walk by your side on the lead, but she currently uses an extendable lead so she has the freedom to potter, sniff and walk slightly ahead when she feels confident. She is walked by her foster carer and their mum, and she is comfortable with both.
Luna is calm and polite around other dogs in public. They may distract her, and she will often stop to watch them, but she does not bark, pull, or attempt to engage. She simply observes quietly before continuing on her way.
Luna’s ideal walks are gentle, unhurried and reassuring the kind where she can take her time, stay close to her humans, and feel safe every step of the way.
Toilet trained:
Luna is a good a girl, she can be stubborn and will need encouraged to go out to use the toilet.
Travel:
Luna is extremely anxious and unsettled when traveling because of this we will only accept applications of up to 2 hours from her location and her new family must be prepared to take regular breaks.
We would advise her having someone sat with her to offer reassurance.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Luna will be recalled to be spayed week beginning July 27th. This will be completed by a vets of the charities choosing costs covered by the charity.
Luna has a cyst on her head, she has had a thorough health check and this is of no concern.
While Luna is extremely gentle in nature she can become withdrawn around young children so it is important that any children visiting the home understands her boundaries.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Luna’s foster family:
Luna is one of the gentlest, sweetest dogs we have had the privilege of fostering. Whilst she can be a little wary of new situations and still likes to retreat to her safe space when she feels overwhelmed, she has come such a long way since arriving with us.
Once Luna trusts you, she forms a wonderful bond and loves nothing more than being close to her people. She is affectionate without being demanding, happy to curl up at your feet for a snooze, and has the most endearing way of asking for attention with a gentle paw.
She has a funny, stubborn bulldog personality that keeps us smiling every day. Whether she’s deciding a walk is over and only wants to head home, sneaking onto the sofa when nobody is looking, or proudly announcing visitors at the door, Luna is full of character.
Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. She has settled beautifully alongside our cats, enjoys meeting new people at her own pace, and is learning that the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place.
Whoever adopts Luna will be getting a loving, loyal companion with a huge heart. She deserves a family who will continue to build her confidence, respect her sensitive nature, and cherish the wonderful dog she is. We have absolutely fallen in love with her and feel incredibly privileged to have been part of her journey.
Luna’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Luna’s story.
Please welcome Luna !!
Beautiful Luna has sadly been surrendered by her family due to personal circumstances. We completely understood the situation and were so grateful we could step in to help during such a difficult tie. We kindly ask that all comments remain positive and respectful.
Luna was collected by her wonderful foster family, Chelsea and her mum Kerry, and is now settling into foster care in the Midlands. The girls collected her directly from her home and took a slow, gentle drive back. Understandably, Luna showed signs of stress during the journey, but Chelsea and Kerry handled everything perfectly and gave her all the patience and reassurance she needed.
Since arriving, Luna has been given plenty of space and time to decompress, and she’s already doing incredibly well. Her lovely personality is beginning to shine through — just as her previous family spoke so fondly about.
Luna is a 3-year-old unspayed girl who is happy, playful, and full of character.
She will be visiting the vets this coming week for a full health check. We were also made aware of one little unique feature about Luna that some may find gross and others may find fascinating — she has a blocked hair duct that occasionally needs cleaning and squeezing.
Just a reminder: Luna is currently in foster care and is not available for adoption at this time, so please do not submit applications as they will not be considered.
For now, let’s all give Luna the warm welcome she deserves!!
