Maggie- In Foster – North East

#Maggie

Please welcome Maggie into the arms of our Springboard family, another little lady who was dumped on the streets

Maggie is a 2 year old girl who we think has been bred from before being discarded…!!

Maggie was in kennels for a while before being rehomed directly from there, but sadly the resident dog was not happy about having a new dog to share his humans with and he started attacking her leaving her with a wound on her face which is now a hotspot.
So sadly, Maggie found herself back in the kennels and that’s when we offered to take her.

Yesterday Tashy collected Maggie for us, and she will be fostering her in the North East.

We want to extend our thanks to Tashy for offering to take Maggie into her home and for dropping everything to collect her for us, we are very grateful to her for giving Maggie a chance

Once Tashy was back, she was able to take a good look at Maggie.

Maggie is thin and she has various bald spots on her legs and what looks like a growth of skin tags on the top of her tail which has resulted in baldness

Resident GBSR adopted boy #Buster was excited to have a new friend in the house, but Maggie needs time to decompress, and Tashy is keeping intro’s little and often.

Maggie will be in sensory overload because of so many changes in her life in such a short period of time, she has experienced way too much already so we don’t expect her to be best buddies with Buster overnight

Maggie had a settled night with no accidents, and we have started her on a nutritious diet to help her start gaining weight.

She will need her vet check, and we can discuss her spay which won’t be immediate as she is just coming out of her season.

So please join us in wishing Maggie the very best on her Springboard journey with us and we are looking forward to seeing her decompress and start to trust she is never going to be treated like trash ever again
