Molly – In foster – North West

We have a beautiful girl to introduce to you all…

Molly This is Molly. Molly came into our care after her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her, as they could no longer meet her needs. We are always grateful when people reach out for help, because it gives dogs like Molly a chance at the life they deserve.

But nothing could have prepared us for the condition this sweet girl arrived in. The moment we saw her, our hearts sank. Molly has clearly been suffering for a very long time. Looking at the extent of her medical issues, it is hard to imagine just how uncomfortable, sore and exhausted she must have been every single day. Her eyes are painfully infected. She is suffering from dry eye and requires entropion surgery on both eyes. Every blink is likely uncomfortable, yet despite it all, she still looks at us with nothing but trust. And sadly, that’s not where her suffering ends. Molly is also battling a severe skin infection caused by allergies, along with excessive skin folds around her neck and body that have left her skin inflamed and irritated. Her little body has been crying out for help for far too long.

Yet somehow, despite everything she has endured, Molly has not given up. Behind the infections, the discomfort and the neglect is the most wonderful girl. She greets us with a wagging tail, seeks affection from everyone she meets, and still finds moments to be playful.

The resilience dogs show never ceases to amaze us. Right now, our focus is on giving Molly the relief she so desperately needs. She has started medicated baths, steroids, antibiotics and eye treatments to begin tackling the infections that have been making her life miserable. Once she is stronger and her infections are under control, she will undergo the surgeries she needs to finally give her comfort and a chance to heal. There is still a long road ahead for Molly, but for the first time in a long time, she doesn’t have to walk it alone.

We can’t change what this sweet girl has already been through. We can’t give her back the months—possibly years—she has spent living in discomfort. But what we can do is make sure her future looks very different from her past. Molly, we are so sorry that help didn’t come sooner. We wish we were welcoming you into rescue under happier circumstances, but from this day forward, you will be loved, protected and cared for every step of the way.

Our promise to you, beautiful girl, is simple: The rest of your life starts now.

Please join us in giving Molly a very warm welcome to the Geordie Bullies family.

Please note that Molly has only just arrived in foster and is not available for adoption. Applications are not open at this time, so please don’t attempt to apply for her just yet. We’ll share her adoption poster once she’s reached the end of her assessment period.
