A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Pebble’s is a very special little girl, she has an inquisitive, playful and gentle nature.

Pebbles adores everyone, people and dogs alike and will seek attention and affection from both.

Pebbles thrives on physical contact and affection, she loves all fuss and cuddles.

Behaviour:

Pebbles is a brave little girl who takes in everything, although likes to use the famous bulldog deaf ear when it suits her.

Pebble’s is an easy-going young girl, who loves toys and to play. She isn’t a rough a tumble bulldog and will shy away from rough play.

Pebble’s is still learning and will need ongoing training to ensure she reaches her full potential. She has been doing well learning basic commands. Pebbles has been learning both verbal and visual commands.

Needs:

Pebble’s needs a calm but active family environment, with a family who have the time to continue her training and bring her on.

Pebble’s absolutely thrives in a pack environment and will need the company of another dog. Any dog in the home must be calm and playful, tolerant of young puppy behaviour and accepting of another dog in the home.

A garden is a must have.

Walk/exercise:

Pebble’s loves her walks; she will need ongoing leash training as she has a tendency to get under your feet.

Pebbles walks well alone and, in a pack, she is more confident in company.

Pebble’s will explore her environment but does not venture to far from her humans. This has been done using a long line while working on recall.

Pebble’s is happy to interact with unfamiliar dogs whilst out.

Toilet trained:

Pebble’s is a good girl and has done very well with her toilet training. She will need a toileting routine to keep her on track and help her in a new environment.

Travel:

Pebbles loves a car ride. She loves to sit and watch out the window.

Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from her current location.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

Things to be aware of:

When Pebble’s was 2 weeks old she aspirated on her mother’s milk, this left her starved of oxygen for 10minuites, but this incredible little girl has not allowed her difficult start to hold her back.

Pebbles can inhale her food, so will need feeding to be controlled to prevent aspiration. She currently uses a slow feeder, and has her kibble soaked to help slow down.

Pebble’s is too young to be spayed, therefore will be adopted on a “to be spayed” contract. We will recall Pebbles at 18months old July/August 2025, the spay will be completed by a vet of the charity’s choice, cost covered by the charity.

Pebbles is still very young and can be excited to play, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information:

Pebbles has stolen the hearts of all the GBSR team, her happy and affection nature just shines through. This little girl will make the most amazing family member, she will love growing up around children and other dogs. Already to take on all life’s great adventures ahead of her.

A little of Pebble’s story below,

Please welcome Pebbles into her Springboard family.

Pebbles is an adorable 9-month-old puppy who has been very much loved. But sadly, her owner has suffered a life changing event which has meant they can no longer look after Pebbles.

So, with a heavy heart they put this little girl first and asked if we would take her and make sure she would always be safe and loved.

There is a little bit of history with this sweetheart of a girl. When she was a very young puppy she aspirated on her mother’s milk and actually faded away, but she was revived and survived .

Because she was starved of oxygen, Pebbles suffered some mobility issues which have improved massively after physio and water therapy.

But you would never think any of this if you met her, she is totally delightful.

Thank you very much to her 1st time foster mum Danielle Cound for collecting Pebbles for us and for opening up your home to a GBSR baby. We are very grateful and here with you every step of the way. And we are sure you will love having a super cute puppy over the Christmas holiday

Pebbles will be seen by our vet in due course and we ask that you don’t enquire about her as she will not be available for adoption until she has completed a period of assessment.

Welcome to your Springboard adventure Pebbles, we are really looking forward to seeing you continue to flourish into a beautiful girl

Make sure you are following her journey on our Facebook page
