A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Ralph is a joyful, cheeky companion with a heart full of love and a nose for fun. His playful spirit shines brightest when he’s chasing his beloved toy balls or nudging his humans for a game. Whether it’s a cuddle on the couch or a romp in the garden, Ralph thrives on connection he’s happiest when he’s part of the action.

He’s a social butterfly who adores both people and dogs, always eager to make new friends and share his boundless affection. Ralph’s lively personality and endearing antics make him a perfect match for an active family who understands the quirks and joys of his breed. He’s not just looking for a home he’s looking for a team to love, play with, and grow alongside.

Behaviour:

Ralph is a spirited young boy with a big heart and a playful streak. Like many adolescent males, he can be a bit mouthy during play, so we recommend gentle, structured interactions rather than roughhousing. There’s no malice in him whatsoever; his enthusiasm simply bubbles over at times, especially when toys are involved.

He’s still learning his manners and would benefit from ongoing training to help him master his basic commands and channel his energy in positive ways. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Ralph will thrive and reward his people with endless affection and laughter.

Needs:

Ralph is looking for a family who’ll embrace him as a true teammate one who’ll include him in daily life, celebrate his progress, and help him grow into the best version of himself. He thrives in an active home where he can be part of the action, whether that’s garden games, weekend adventures, or simply being nearby as life unfolds.

He’ll need consistent boundaries and ongoing training to guide his youthful energy and support his development.

A secure garden is essential for play and exploration, and Ralph would benefit greatly from a calm but playful dog companion someone to keep him company when his humans are out and help show him the ropes in his new home.

Ralph has so much love to give. With the right family, he’ll blossom into a loyal, joyful, and endlessly entertaining best friend.

Walk/exercise:

Ralph approaches every walk like it’s the best part of his day because to him, it is. His curious, playful nature turns even a short stroll into a joyful adventure. He’s wonderfully social, greeting unfamiliar dogs with enthusiasm and soaking up attention from every human he meets.

To keep Ralph happy and balanced, he’ll need regular walks and plenty of exercise to match his energy levels. These outings aren’t just physical they’re a chance for him to explore, connect, and thrive. With a consistent routine and a family who enjoys being out and about, Ralph will flourish.

Toilet trained:

Ralph is a very good boy.

Travel:

Ralph travels very well, because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours from his current location.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**

Things to be aware of:

Ralph will not be rehomed with any entire dogs.

Ralph is due to be neutered 02/09/2025, he will be ready to go home once he has been signed off by our vet.

Sometimes Ralph is excited to play but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information from Ralph’s foster family:

Ralph is such a loving boy he loves a good fuss and to play he is a big puppy.  I believe whoever get to be his forever family will be showered with his love & affection and be entertained with his personality and be lucky to call him their own

Ralph’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.

**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. Ralph’s story.

Please welcome the very cute Ralph into the arms of his Springboard family

2-year-old Ralph is an extremely sad surrender for deeply personal reasons, so we are not going into details but he was very much loved

We want to extend our thanks to Wayne who offered to take Ralph into foster and who also collected this tiny little boy for us. We are very grateful to you, thank you

Ralph has met the resident girls, Babs and GBSR girl Bleu and all seems to be going well with Babs but Bleu is a little unsure, so Wayne is taking intro’s slowly and taking them all on walks together.

Ralph is settling well and later this week he will be seeing the vet for his vet check, and we will discuss his neuter.

So please join us in welcoming Ralph onto his Springboard journey and we can wait to see him on his adventures with Babs and Bleu!
