A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Raven is a companion dog and will be your shadow, she is keen to be where you are keeping an eye on things.
Raven loves to cuddle /snuggle and will seek you out for attention.
Raven is very playful and loves to play with her toys, balls are her favourite.
Raven can be a little shy when meeting new people but once she is familiar, she will win you over and have you giving her bum scratches in to time.
Behaviour:
Raven is a playful girl, she loves toys and will seek you out to initiate play, if she isn’t playing she will seek you out for attention and cuddles.
Raven can get a little boisterous and excitable during rough play, a firm no and ignore works to calm her down.
Raven loves playing tug of war with you
Raven follows commands and currently knows sit, paw and wait
Needs:
Raven would benefit from a home that can offer her both calm and active time.
Raven is dog reactive so will need to be an only dog
Raven needs a family that will keep her involved in all that is family life and take her on their adventures
A garden is a must for our zoomie loving Raven.
Walk/exercise:
Raven loves her walks; she is a puller she is responding well to the techniques her foster family has put in place, but she will need ongoing training in this area.
Raven can be a bit hit and miss when she sees other dogs on a walk, she sometimes pulls and cry’s so needs lots of distraction and encouragement to continue on her walk.
Raven loves going to a secure field to have a good zoom around, she has a good amount of recall.
Toilet trained:
Raven is mostly toilet trained but may have the odd accident on occasion.
Raven needs a little encouragement to go out in the morning but responds well to positive reinforcement
Travel:
Raven can be a little anxious but will soon settle, because of this well will consider applications up to four hours away
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Raven has allergies so requires regular antihistamines.
Raven isn’t a fan of the hoover, drill or lawn mower, she will bark and lunge at them
Raven is a strong girl so any young children in the house will need to be supervised as she has the potential to jump and knock smaller children over in play
Additional information:
Raven is so eager to please that she would do wonders with any training afforded to her.
Raven will be your partner in crime, she will keep you entertained and dote on you.
Raven has so much love to give to her forever family, anyone that is Luckly enough to adopt her will truly have gained themselves an absolute treasure.
Raven’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Raven’s story below,
Let’s give a warm and heartfelt welcome to #Raven, the newest member of our GBSR family!
Raven is a beautiful 2-year-old female who has had a tough start in life, being passed from one place to another.
A compassionate lady found Raven listed as “FREE to a good home” on a selling site and couldn’t bear the thought of what might happen to her.
She immediately took action and brought Raven home. Unfortunately, Raven struggled to settle in and didn’t get along with the lady’s bulldog.
We all wish that every dog could find their perfect forever home right away, but sometimes it takes a bit more time and effort.
Raven’s previous owner wasn’t informed about her condition and combined with the difficulty of cohabitating with the resident dog, it became too much.
She made the loving decision to reach out to us for help.
A huge thank you to Chloe Bull, Wayne Byrne, and Lorraine Barson for coming together and safely transporting Raven to her foster mum in the North West.
Raven has food allergies and has been suffering from chronic untreated ear infections, resulting in painful hematomas inside her ears.
We immediately booked her in with our vet, who started her on steroids to reduce the inflammation and antibiotics to tackle the infection. We are hopeful that medical treatment will be enough, and that surgery won’t be necessary.
Thank you, Lorraine, for opening your heart and home to our precious Raven. Your kindness means the world to us.
Welcome to your new beginning, Raven. Your GBSR family will be with you every step of the way!!
