A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Ronnie is a gentle, wise soul with a heart full of love. Though he may take a little time to warm up to new faces, once he feels comfortable, his devotion is boundless he will happily stay by your side through thick and thin.
Ronnie thrives on companionship, whether it’s the steady presence of his humans or the friendship of another canine companion. His gentle nature shines brightest around children, whom he adores and lovingly seeks out for affection.
Behaviour:
Ronnie is a calm and easy-going companion who much prefers gentle affection over rough play. His favourite pastime is curling up with his humans for a cuddle, where his laid‑back nature truly shines.
Since recovering from his eye removal, Ronnie’s playful side has begun to blossom, showing a new spark of joy and curiosity.
He can be sensitive to loud, sudden noises and certain household items like hoovers or tube‑shaped objects, which may cause him to bark or retreat. With patience and understanding, Ronnie feels reassured and quickly returns to his loving, gentle self.
Needs:
Ronnie is looking for a loving family who will welcome him into the heart of their daily life. He thrives on being included and enjoys sharing in the simple routines that make a house a home.
A secure garden is essential for Ronnie, giving him the space to explore, relax, and play. He would also benefit greatly from the companionship of another friendly dog, who can be both a playmate and a source of comfort when his humans are away.
Walk/exercise:
Ronnie is a true gentleman on his walks, especially when he has company by his side. Like any classic bulldog, he delights in taking his time to sniff, explore, and soak in his surroundings. His friendly nature means he’s perfectly happy to greet unfamiliar dogs along the way, making every outing a pleasant adventure.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Ronnie is a good boy.
Travel:
Ronnie can travel comfortably up to 2.5hours. He may pant to begin with but with reassurance he will settle.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Ronnie has recently had his right eye removed, has healed very well and this had made a great difference to his life.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Ronnie’s foster family:
I’m an old soul in a wrinkly suit. I don’t ask for much, just a cozy spot, gentle loves, and someone to love me as deeply as I’ll love them.
Ronnie’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Ronnie’s story.
Please welcome 4-year-old #Ronnie to the Geordie Bullies family
We’d like to start this post by asking for no judgement toward Ronnie’s previous family. As a rescue, we pride ourselves on supporting families who need to rehome their bulldogs without judgement, and we kindly ask that you do the same
Yesterday, we announced that seven dogs had arrived into foster care over the weekend, all from the same family. #Ronnie is the first of them we’re introducing
We were contacted by the son of Ronnie’s owners, as his parents are sadly separating and facing illness within the family. Four of the adult dogs now in our care—including Ronnie—were previously used for breeding. The most important thing to the family is that all the dogs were guaranteed safe and loving homes, so they asked for our help and entrusted us to ensure that happens.
On Saturday, Ronnie was collected by Georgia and Chas and brought home to join his foster brothers, GBSR Tank and Vinnie
Before his arrival, we were made aware that Ronnie is blind in one eye. Thankfully, aside from this, he appears to be in good health and we have no immediate concerns. A good bath and some TLC were all he needed
Ronnie is a timid boy, but already he’s slowly starting to come out of his shell. He isn’t keen on walks and seems to have a low fitness level, but with the guidance of his foster brothers, we’re sure he’ll soon be up to mischief and enjoying his daily adventures.
Welcome to the family, Ronnie—we can’t wait to see you flourish!
