Dogs: Yes, no entire males or females and needs to be excepting of other dogs in the home.
A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Skyler is a calm and quiet girl who likes to chill and mooch about whilst at home.
Skyler comes to life when she is taken out for a walk and loves nothing more than a good splash around in water, she is a real water baby.
Skyler likes a fuss and a cuddle but is equally happy to have her own space
Behaviour:
Skyler has what is known as bulldog deaf ear and isn’t very good with basic commands, however she is a calm girl who doesn’t need a lot of instruction
Skyler reacts well to correction and understands without giving much pushback.
Skyler hasn’t been introduced to rough play whilst in foster but we feel she would love a companion to play with as she has tried to engage with the dogs she has been in foster with but they haven’t been interested.
Skyler is a typical clumsy bulldozer of a bulldog but is absolutely harmless and is in no way aggressive in her behaviour.
Needs:
Skyler’s going out time is vital; it means everything to her. Any new owner must have the ability to meet her daily exercise needs
Skyler is a very low maintenance girl; she doesn’t really have any interest in toys or treats
Skyler needs a calm but active home environment Skyler would suit a family with a calm and laid-back dog in the home but would also do very well as an only dog.
Walk/exercise:
Skyler absolutely loves to be out and about exploring, its what she lives for. Mud and water are her favourite
Skyler can initially lunge at unfamiliar dogs in public but it’s all excitement, this can come across as aggressive, but she is fine after the initial lunge.
Skyler has been walked as part as a pack and has been fine meeting up with multiple dogs whilst out.
Toilet trained:
Skyler is a good girl; she hasn’t had any accidents whilst in foster.
Travel:
Skyler can be a little unsettled at first but soon settles down.
Because of this we will consider a home up to four hours away.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Skyler is very front heavy and is strong on the lead.
Skyler has no problems with being groomed or cleaned, she loves a bath and would stay in for ages given the chance.
Sometimes Skyler doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Skyler is a very good girl when being left alone for periods of time during the day and sleeps without disturbance of a night
Before coming into foster Skyler had a very sheltered life so she still needs to learn about the world around her. With time and patience were confident she will thrive and be the most incredible companion
Skyler’s adoption donation fee is £400 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

A little of Skyler’s story below,
Stella & Skyler 24/10/24 – Midlands
Stella and Skyler are two 4-year-old, unneutered girls.
We were contacted by their owner as they were unable to give them the care, they deserved due to work commitments.
On collection, both girls looked in reasonable condition but were grubby. Stella has a sticky eye, and her breathing isn’t the best.
Thank you to Ade Compo for collecting these two beautiful girls and opening your heart and home to them.
Stella and Skyler are both gorgeous girls who are full of bum wiggles.
Both enjoyed a lovely soak in the bath before bedtime and then snored the night away
They have been introduced to Ade’s two resident dogs and Stella appears to be the more dominant girl out of the two.
It’s very early days, and as with all our foster dogs, we encourage slow introductions to allow the new dog time to decompress.
These girlie’s will be visiting the vet next week for a health check.
Please don’t contact us about Stella and Skyler as they are new to foster and will need a period of assessment.
So welcome to your GBSR journey, Stella and Skyler.
You will soon be blossoming in foster and enjoying all the good things that life has to offer you!!
