A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Stella thrives on physical contact and affection; she loves all fuss and cuddles.

Stella is an absolute sweetheart who loves people and dogs alike and will seek attention and affection from both.

Stella is outgoing, lively and has a very playful nature

Behaviour:

Stella has learnt her basic commands and boundaries. She knows sit, paw and down.

Stella loves rough play; she will put her mouth around your arm and hand but doesn’t actually bite.

Stella hasn’t a malicious bone in her body, she is a sweet and perfectly natured bulldog

Needs:

Stella would suit a busy family home where she can have lots of love and affection.

Stella would love a garden to play and explore in.

Stella would benefit from having a laid-back dog with similarly playful nature for company, no entire males.

Walk/exercise:

Stella is happy to have her harness on and comes running as soon as you pick it up.

Stella loves her walks and walks lovely with only a little bit of pulling at the start; she is happy to walk alone and with company.

Stella is happy to interact with unfamiliar dogs whilst out and loves meeting new people

Toilet trained:

Stella is a good girl, she will let you know when she wants to go out.

 

 

Travel:

Stella loves the car and will jump in excitedly; she likes to sit by the window and watch the world go by

Because of this we will consider a home up to four hours away.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

Things to be aware of:

Stella is food orientated, and dives in like she has never been fed, but is not aggressive.

Sometimes Stella doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted. Stella’s ears need regular cleaning as the opening is extremely narrow.

Stell’s tail pocket needs daily cleaning and sudocrem applying. Close attention must be paid to ensure she does not get another infection. We can help with giving a cleaning routine

Stella Currently takes half a steroid daily for allergies

Additional information:

Stella is outgoing, lively and extremely loving. She loves company and would make a wonderful addition to a family home where she can make lots of memories and go on lots of adventures.

Stella’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.

**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog. If you cannot agree to this, please don’t apply**

A little of Stella’s story below,

Stella & Skyler 24/10/24 – Midlands

Stella and Skyler are two 4-year-old, unneutered girls.

We were contacted by their owner as they were unable to give them the care, they deserved due to work commitments.

On collection, both girls looked in reasonable condition but were grubby. Stella has a sticky eye, and her breathing isn’t the best.

Thank you to Ade Compo for collecting these two beautiful girls and opening your heart and home to them.

Stella and Skyler are both gorgeous girls who are full of bum wiggles.

Both enjoyed a lovely soak in the bath before bedtime and then snored the night away

They have been introduced to Ade’s two resident dogs and Stella appears to be the more dominant girl out of the two.

It’s very early days, and as with all our foster dogs, we encourage slow introductions to allow the new dog time to decompress.

These girlie’s will be visiting the vet next week for a health check.
