Tank – Now Adopted!
Tank!
Sometimes, the right thing is right in front of you, and you didn’t even see it.
We have unexpected news about Tank.
Sadly, through no fault of his own, Tanks adoption has failed, and with a heavy heart, his new owner has asked to return him.
We are not going into details, and we request no judgement as this is the reason our dogs are rehomed with Rescue Back Up for their lives.
Tanks foster mum, Georgia, was heartbroken when he left for his new home.
Their gorgeous boy had fitted into life with Stevie and Grandpa beautifully, and he was adored by everyone.
So, when the new owners asked to return Tank, Georgia asked if she could adopt him, and how could we possibly say no!
He is so happy with Georgia and Charles and his very own pack, and it means there will be no more upheaval in his life.
So, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Tank is well and truly home and that this will be his new life forever with his fur brothers Stevie and Grandpa.
Huge congratulations, Georgia and Charles, Grandpa, and Stevie on your adoption of Tank
We are really looking forward to seeing updates about the boys and Tanks’ lovely new life with you.
To Tank, happy forever home sweet boy.
You really have landed on your paws you are back to licking Stevie and sharing your bed with Grandpa.
Make lots of memories with Grandpa and Stevie, and your loving family, go on many adventures, but most of all… Love and be loved

A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Tank is an incredible bulldog, he may start off nervous, but you will soon see his loving, and affectionate nature.
Tank is your typical extremely stubborn bulldog, hungry all the time and is extremely funny with his 50 different shades of stink eye.
Tank loves company, human and dogs he will seek both for play and affection.
Behaviour:
Tank’s loves to play bitey face with the resident dog.
Tank is terrified of Stairs and lifts.
He is very nervous about ‘new things’. And needs time and patience while he settles and gets used to a new environment.
Tank is an anxious chewer and will find small items he can chew on when alone.
Needs:
Tank needs a calm family environment he prefers the slower pace in life.
A garden is a must as he loves to laze about in the fresh air.
Tank needs another dog in the home, he bonds closely and relies on the other dogs for company when his humans are away.
Walk/exercise:
Tank doesn’t enjoy going for a walk, it takes a bit of encouragement but once he is out, he will walk albeit very slowly.
Better to walk in a pack as he loves companion.
Toilet trained:
Tank is a good boy; he may have an accident initially or when left for long periods of time.
And he can wet his bed as he is settling in, this behaviour is claiming his space.
Travel:
Tank travels fine, ideally, he needs a ‘stable’ ground because he isn’t good at balancing in
the car. Laying in the backseat footwell or spacious boot is ideal.
We will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from his current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Tank must wear shoes during walk, he drags his paws rather than lifting them and the tarmac will cause bleeding.
Tank must have a controlled diet and not be allowed to gain weight.
Tank will need a good hygiene routine to ensure the condition of his skin, nose folds and tail pocket.
Any dogs in the home must be accepting of other dogs and not have any resource guarding behaviours or possessive tendencies.
Sometimes Tank likes to sit on people but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to knock children over and squash them if sat on their knee.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Tank is a one-of-a-kind bulldog; he adores everyone he meets dogs and people alike. He is so laid-back and will sit and silently judge every move you make. Tank thrives on affection whether he is giving or receiving it. He will be the most amazing family member to add to your home.
A little of Tank’s story below,
With immense love and affection, we are thrilled to welcome the incredibly handsome Tank to our GBSR family!
Tank is a charming 6-year-old entire male who, like our beloved Dax, found himself in need of a loving home. When the kennels reached out for help, we couldn’t resist saying yes to this sweet boy.
Though Tank may not have the best breeding, with his low shoulders, high hips, his adorable face is simply irresistible.
He has patchy fur, sore infected ears, and cysts on his paws, most likely due to poor diet and allergies!
A heartfelt thank you to Georgia, her partner Charles, Stevie the bulldog, and our dashing Grandpa Diesel for opening your hearts and home to this beautiful boy.
Tank is now in foster with Georgia in the Midlands, settling in wonderfully. Despite his sore paws making him a bit of a drama king, even getting Charles to carry him to his vet appointment, he is already showing his unique personality and quirks.
Welcome, dear Tank, to a family that will never let you feel alone again. We are so excited to watch your story unfold and be a part of all the adventures that lie ahead.
Welcome home, Tank!
