Teddy – Now Adopted

Teddy is a lovely and very playful little dog who is described by his foster mum as a complete attention seeker who will push anyone and anything out of the way to get a fuss. He has benefitted massively living with 2 other dogs and he has learned to listen when they tell him off, he will still try his luck through.

He loves his walks and is learning commands, but this will be ongoing.

Dogs name:  Teddy

Age:  1 year 11 months

Can live with children:  Yes aged 12 years and over

Can live with dogs:  Yes

Can live with cats:  Yes but will chase on occasion

Current location:  Milton Keynes, Bucks

Things to be aware of:

Teddy is very friendly and will jump up at people including children. His foster family have made progress with this, but he will require a firm hand and continued training in his new home.

Teddy is prone to food allergies so will need to stay on the current food, Royal Canin Hypoallergenic, and his ears must be kept clean with a regular cleaning regime.

The ideal home:

Teddy needs a home with at least 1 other dog. His is still learning how to behave so he will benefit being around a well behaved but equally playful dog, who is robust enough to indulge in rough play. Teddy also eats super-fast even with his slow feeder so he would need to be fed separately for any other dogs.

He is very sociable so we are looking for a home where he will not be left for long periods.

As he is still boisterous like an overgrown puppy, any children living him will need to be aged 12 years or over and younger children visiting will need to be supervised and he will jump up and his new family must keep instilling the boundaries he is starting to respect.

Other comments:

Teddy is a lovely boy who is a late starter when it comes to learning boundaries. He loves people and being involved and will make a smashing family pet. Teddy travels well so we will consider a new home up to 4 hours from his current location.

Teddy’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.
