A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Tess can start of shy and will need time and patience to gain your trust, but once she does, she will come out of her shell and be your best friend.
Tess will thrive best when she is kept busy, she is very stubborn but intelligent and quick to learn.
Tess loves to be by your side and likes nothing more than snuggling up and having cuddles.
Behaviour:
Tess loves all forms of play and is becoming more adventurous and confident, she likes to have a soft toy to suckle on when she is tired.
Tess adores children and will follow them around making sure she is right by their side.
Tess has been learning her basic commands whilst in foster. This training will need to continue in her new home and will help strengthen the bond between her and her new family.
Needs:
Tess would benefit from a home that balances activity and relaxation, somewhere she can have her snuggles and downtime while also enjoying play and bursts of energy with walks and play.
A family who can put in the time with her training to ensure she reaches her incredible potential.
A garden to explore and play in is a must for Tess.
Walk/exercise:
Tess loves her walks and responds very well meeting unfamiliar dogs, she will give them a sniff and then carry on with her walk.
Tess walks very well on the lead and has no problems with having her harness put on or taken off.
Tess has very good recall and is happy to plod along by your side.
Tess absolutely loves all attention from people she meets and will say hello to everyone.
Toilet trained:
Yes , Tess is a good girl
Travel:
Tess travels well, because of this we would consider homes up to four hours away.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Tess does not like to share her space or her humans and is being rehomed as an only dog.
Tess came into foster with really bad teeth and needs them brushing daily. However, she is very good at having this done.
Sometimes Tess is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as Tess has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Tess’s foster:
Tessa is a true mummy’s girl; her eyes reflect the love and trust she has in you. I will truly miss our morning snuggle session and will constantly be looking for her at my heel.
Her thirst for learning and life is encouraging and her funny quirks endearing. I feel there is so much more to come from this girl and anyone who adopts her will have the time of their live growing with her.
Tess’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Please welcome a very sorry little 4-year-old girl who has been neglected and left in a state
Tess was being sold online and one of our foster volunteers was made aware of her and made contact. Once she had the full story, our rescue coordinators quickly followed up as they were concerned she would end up somewhere where there would not be the help she needed
We had no idea of the state Tess would be in when she was collected yesterday by Carina Hill. She has urine burns, a horrid urine infection and was passing a lot of blood, scars and scabs, dirty ears and fleas…!!
Big thank you’s to Carina who has agreed to foster Tess for us and for collecting her so quickly and getting her into foster. We very much appreciate you dropping everything to collect her for us
Tess has already seen the vet today and been prescribed meds for her UTI which is severe so we may need further tests after her course of antibiotic’s have been completed.
She has dermatitis on her skin and foot pads so she will be having medicated baths to help soothe her and she has fur missing around her tail due to the flea infestation.
Sadly, her gums were clogged with fur, and this has led to decay in an incisor so she will need this removed at some point
She doesn’t appear to have been bred from, but we heard that one of her previous owners had brought her for that purpose but passed her on because ‘he was fed up with her’…!
Yesterday was a lucky day for Tess because she joined our Springboard family so good luck on your journey sweetheart, we will soon have you back to health
