Woody – Now Adopted!
We have another failed foster announcement!
Woody was always home!
Woody joined the Geordie Bullies family back in July after being found abandoned on the streets. He first went into temporary foster care with Alison Tait and her family so we could make sure he was safe and out of kennels, before moving to join Carina and Darren as his permanent foster family.
Little did we know that Carina and Darren would turn out to be Woody’s perfect match — the family he had always dreamed of having.
A huge thank you to Alison for welcoming Woody into your home during his time of need. Both we and Woody will be forever grateful.
As soon as Woody arrived in foster care, his caring and loving personality shone through — but this became even more evident when Carina’s family welcomed Elsie the puppy. Woody instantly took Elsie under his wing, loved her, and made her his best friend.
Carina and Darren are valued volunteers of ours who have fostered multiple dogs — some easy, and some not so much! No matter the challenge, they’ve always been ready to help and face whatever fostering brings their way.
So when Carina asked if she could adopt Woody, we knew he was right where he was meant to be.
Please join us in congratulating Carina, Darren, Elsie and their family on officially adopting Woody!
a little about Woody..
Woody
Please welcome the very very sweet Woody into our Springboard family.
Woody turned 6 at the end of July and he spent that birthday without an owner and in kennels; because Woody is yet another dog abandoned on our streets – honestly it just gets us so upset and frustrated when these dogs are discarded so casually but thankfully, we were able to take him in
Woody came into temporary foster with Alison Tait who very kindly collected him for us. Woody spent a couple of days with Alison before Carina Hill collected him from Alison, and she will be Woody’s foster mum.
Thank you so much ladies, because of you, Woody has a chance to be loved again by a family that want him and will not abandon him
Woody has already had a vet check as we were concerned about his eyes. They were very sore when he arrived, and on examination the vet believes he is suffering from a degree of blindness but thankfully there were no ulcers.
So, Woody has been prescribed eye drops and we will see how his eyes react to that before we can get a proper understanding of how bad his sight is. We will also discuss his neuter at some point.
Woody has settled with Carina and is showing himself to be a fabulous little boy. He needs some care and love in his life, and he will most definitely get that now he is a GBSR boy
So welcome to your new life with us Woody, we are so glad we found you and we promise you will never be abandoned again
