Luna – Now Adopted
Luna is a very sweet and loving girl who will happily sleep for most of the day but equally likes to be a part of the action if there is activity in the home. She wasn’t to keen on walking when she first arrived in foster, but she is really starting to enjoy going out now. She isn’t a lover of other dogs, so she is walked alone, and her foster mum doesn’t let other dogs come too close to her.
Her foster mum describes Luna as a quiet girl with a loving but stubborn side who can easily be swayed to do what you want her to do with a treat.
She can ‘try it on’ like any dog but her foster mum is firm with boundaries, and this works very well.

Things to be aware of:
Luna has jumped up at 2 teenage boys visiting the home. We are unsure why and this is out of character as she will happily be around younger children and snuggle in for cuddles.
Luna isn’t 100% house trained as she doesn’t bark to let you know she wants to go outside, but this can easily be managed with routine.
The ideal home:
Luna can happily be rehomed to a family where she will not be left for long periods as she is a sociable girl who enjoys company. She needs a home where she can be involved in family life and where she will get 2 nice walks a day and plenty of love and cuddles.
Other comments:
We don’t know what triggered her jumping up at the teenage boys, possibly a memory from an incident in her previous life. This incident was managed with a firm No from her foster mum, and she hasn’t done it since.
Apart from this 1 incident, Luna has flourished in foster. She will make a lovely companion in any household.
Luna travels well so we will consider a new home up to 4 hours from her current location.
Luna’s adoption donation fee is £250 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
