Ronnie – Now Adopted!
Ronnie the Returning Boomerang!
Our handsome Ronnie wasn’t so easy for us to rehome, no matter how hard we searched for what we thought was his perfect fit. This led to him being returned to us twice.
Understandably devastating for his adopted families and frustrating for us, but sometimes we have no say in where a dog wants to be for the rest of his days.
As you all know Ronnie went home to his new family for the 2nd time but unfortunately Ronnie decided it wasn’t for him again, so his new owners decided the best thing for all concerned was to return him to us.
Ronnie was collected by his foster mum Sarah Janney and it rapidly became apparent that this cheeky boy had already decided he didn’t want to be anywhere else but at home with Sarah and her son Dan.
Ronnie was so excited and happy beyond words to be back home, it was like he never left and slipped back into his regular routine without a care in the world
So please join us in congratulating Sarah and Dan and of course Mr Handsome Pants himself.
We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together with your cheeky boy. We can’t wait to share the next chapter of your life with you.
Please let this be the last time Ronnie
A little of Ronnie’s story below,
Ronnie is a lovely boy who thinks nothing if blocking the way of people out walking to make sure he gets a few strokes. He is very cheeky and will run off with things he knows he shouldn’t have i.e. slippers & shoes but it all a big game to Ronnie. He is very loving and enjoys lots of belly rubs, kisses, and petting.
As the playful boy he is, he enjoys his toys, balls and tug of war and he loves his soft toys to nuzzle on. Ronnie hates being bored as he is nosey and active so he needs plenty of interaction otherwise he can be naughty and make his own entertainment…!
He walks great on a lead and is very happy around other dogs and is starting to learn commands.
Dogs name: Ronnie
Age: 1 year 10 months
Can live with children: Yes aged 12 years and over
Can live with dogs: Yes – friendly female
Can live with cats: Untested
Current location: Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
Ronnie needs a toilet routine as he doesn’t know how to ask to go out. His foster family have a routine which works but he still has the odd accident overnight.
Ronnie is quite excitable and will try and hump and nibble on occasion and will introduce himself to any new visitors to the home in this way, but this is usually managed with a firm NO, failing that, his foster mum will use a water spray which works.
He suffers from mild food allergies, so we prefer him to stay on his current hypoallergenic food which is readily available
The ideal home:
Ronnie is an active lad and as such will suit an active family. Ideally, he won’t be left for long periods as he adores company. He has lived with dogs before, so a friendly playful canine companion would be lovely for him
Ronnie hasn’t been bought up with young children and as he is still learning boundaries, we feel any children in the home will be aged 12 years and over.
Other comments:
Ronnie is like an ‘adult puppy’; he is cheeky and playful and very eager to please, and he makes his foster family laugh every day.
Ronnies new family will need to understand they are getting a dog that has had limited training and boundaries imposed. He is learning new commands fast so with the right approach he will make a lovely family pet.
He travels well, so we are happy to consider the perfect home up to 4 hours from his current location.
