Badger – Now Adopted

Badger is an adorable little girl who cannot get enough cuddles and attention from everyone in her foster home. She is a happy and playful girl who enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs on her walks.

She hasn’t been tested off the lead but her recall is good around the home and she will sit and leave on command.

Dogs name:  Badger

Age:  2 years, 7 months

Can live with children:  Calm children aged 6 years and above.

Can live with dogs:  A playful neutered male dog.

Can live with cats:  Untested but probably not.

Current location:  Cardiff, South Wales

Things to be aware of:

Badger is anxious and scared when confronted with loud noises such as children playing loudly and she toilets every night in the house. She will ask to go out in the day but has developed this habit over night.

There is no reason she cannot be trained out of this habit and it might be that she would be better in a crate overnight as this tends to work.

The ideal home:

Badger can live with children, but they would need to be dog savvy and be old enough to understand that loud noises make Badger very anxious & scared, and she will need reassurance from an adult.

Badger is a playful young girl, and we don’t anticipate there being problems if she was to share her home with a laid back but playful male dog, equally she can live as an only dog.

She is used to people being around for most of the day so we would be looking for a similar home for her.

Other comments:

Badgers foster mum has described Badger as being an absolute delight in foster. Badger has been left for up to 2 hours in her foster home and she has been fine and settled. She is neutered but will need her follow up inoculations which the charity will pay for if they haven’t been done by the time she goes home.
