Bear – Now Adopted!
We have another home announcement – and the lucky fella is Bear – he is staying with Kirsty in Scotland!
Bear came into foster with Kirsty, Davey, and their pack at the beginning of December 2023. And although Bear settled into the pack well, from day 1 he has displayed separation anxiety.
Kirsty and Davey’s lifestyle allows them to manage Bear’s anxiety really well and Bear is definitely ‘Davey’s dog’ and is relaxed when he is in Davey’s company.
He is a complex little boy and after discussions about how moving him will impact on his mental health, we all agreed it would be in his best interests to stay with Kirsty and Davey.
So please join us in sending huge congratulations to Kirsty and Davey. Thank you so much for not giving up and for giving him his new forever home.
Enjoy your life Bear, your days of moving are over, and you have your very own fur family in Nellie (GBSR), Luna and Terrier Keera.

What a weekend
3 new dogs have joined our GBSR family!!
Please say a big hello and welcome to dog number 1 the beautiful 2-year-old Bear
We were contacted by a lovely lady named Linda who had come across the brother’s ad as “free to good home”.
Linda contacted the owner and begged him to take down the ad and she would help him find a breed specific rescue. After a week of trying so many others Linda contacted us and we couldn’t turn them away.
Bear & Coisty’s owner very sadly passed away recently and although the family wanted to keep them, they knew their Dads pride and joy’s weren’t getting the care and attention they needed.
Bear has taken to FD Davie straight away and has very much become his best pal, Davie even slept downstairs with him last night to help him settle.
As you can imagine there has been a lot of change in these boy’s lives recently so Bear is very withdrawn.
Bear needs some good old-fashioned TLC and will be seeing the vet soon for a full health check.
He met the lovely Luna out and a walk and so far, has been the perfect gentleman.
A huge thank you to Kirsty & Davie for collecting Bear and welcoming him into your heart and home.
