A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Clyde is the ultimate gentle giant.

This boy adores all human contact especially with children, he will bring them his favourite toys to play with and follow wherever they lead.

He loves nothing more than snuggling up after a long day of walks and playtime in the garden.

Behaviour:

Clyde is a well rounded and active bulldog.

He understands many commands and has a good recall but wouldn’t be a bulldog without the occasional deaf ear or teeny bit of stubborn.

His laid-back nature means he takes to new environments really well and settles in no time at all.

Needs:

Clyde needs an active family home, one with a family that will keep him involved in everything that is daily family life.

A garden is a must, for him to play and chase his playmates around in.

Clyde will benefit from a laid-back but playful doggy companion in the home, to keep him company when his humans can’t.

Walk/exercise:

Clyde loves his walks he walks lovely with no issues. He is happy to walk alone and with company.

Clyde will acknowledge unfamiliar dogs and people and go back to what he was exploring.

Toilet trained:

Yes, Clyde is a good boy.

Travel:

Clyde travels very well, on the back seat or boot using restraint. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from his current location.

We recommend using a seatbelt harness or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

Things to be aware of:

Sometimes Clyde is excited to play but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as he has the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information:

Clyde is an amazing young boy and will make the most wonderful addition to any young family. He will spend the rest of his days as a shadow wherever you shall lead. This well-rounded boy will suit many different home environments.

A little of Clyde’s story below,

Clyde is a 2-year-old entire male.

We were contacted a couple weeks ago by Clyde’s family asking for help. Unfortunately, because of the current financial climate and a change of circumstances Clyde’s owner was having to work longer hours leaving him alone at home. And with the financial worries struggling to afford to give Clyde the care he needs.

It has taken us a few weeks to be able to take Clyde in to foster but we stayed in contact and did what we could to support his family. And as soon as we could we found the very best foster home for him.

It has been a little while since we have seen someone so heartbroken to say goodbye to their beloved family member.

Clyde is in really good body condition and is such a happy lad, who loves a good squeaky ball. He has settled nicely into his foster home with Sarah and her family in the midlands.

He will be seeing our vet during the week where we will arrange his neuter.

Good luck through your assessments Clyde, once you are ready you are going to make a very lucky family the most wonderful companion.
