Geraldine – Now Adopted!
We have great pleasure in announcing that Geraldine has gone home!!
Geraldine was collected by her new family, Ryan and Jenny, on Saturday. And she has been the most amazing girl.
She settled in beautifully and shared a lovely pancake breakfast with her new sister!!
And to start her new life, our Geri has a glamourous new name Gigi!!
We want to extend our gratitude to Sarah Whitford who fostered Gigi for us. It was your first foster and you did a great job assessing Gigi for her new home so many thanks to you.
So please join us in congratulating Ryan and Jenny on their adoption of Gigi and we hope you have many happy years together making fabulous memories!!

A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Geraldine is a sweet natured young girl, whose world revolves around her humans.
Geraldine has a very gentle temperament, is motivated by food and eager to please her humans.
Geraldine is a typical young female who has perfected the famous bulldog deaf ear and side eye if she’s been told off.
Behaviour:
Geraldine isn’t a playful girl, and she isn’t interested in toys, but she will initiate rough play and is incredibly gentle when mouthing.
Geraldine prefers her humans to herself, and she will put herself between her humans and any visiting dogs in the home. While she is not aggressive in nature, she is protective.
Needs:
Geraldine needs a calm family home, with a family that will keep her involved in all that it is daily life.
Geraldine is the epitome of companion breed and will need someone home with her the majority of the time or can take her with them to work.
A garden is a must as she loves to explore and sniff all there is to sniff.
Walk/exercise:
Geraldine loves a walk; she is excellent on the lead and happy to meet other dogs and humans whilst out.
Geraldine loves exploring and sniffing around taking in all her environment.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Geraldine is a very good girl.
She may have an accident in the first few days, but as soon as she knows where to go she will indicate she wants out.
Can be left:
Geraldine is crate trained so it is preferred that her new home has one. It is her safe space and will retire to it when tired.
Geraldine can be left for up to 4 hours she will snuggle up happily in her crate with her kong.
Travel:
Geraldine loves the car, because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away.
We recommend using either a seatbelt restraint or boot crate when traveling.
Things to be aware of:
Geraldine does tend to bark at the letterbox.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Geraldine is a wonderful young girl, with an old soul! All she wants is to keep her humans company and watch the world go by. If you are looking for your best friend and sidekick then Geraldine is the girl for you.
A little of Geraldine’s story below,
You may have seen our post earlier this week, announcing 4 dogs (who were dumped together) coming to into foster and an additional stray, all from Appledown Kennels.
On Wednesday we introduced Rosie who is now in foster with Pam and Mark in the Midlands.
Today we welcomed
Geraldine 2 years old, found as a stray, now in foster with Sarah Whitworth in the South East
We rely on our own fundraising via organised walks, donations, Auction Group and Lucky Numbers to support the charity and you are always amazing when we ask for help. But sadly, this is an ongoing situation so we are always trying to fill up the pot.
If you would like to help this week’s intake, then please consider donating towards them
