A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Layla is the most affectionate little lady, who adores all her humans.
Layla thrives in the company of her humans and gentle nature makes her an ideal pet for families of all ages and especially loves attention from children.
Layla is the epitome of companion, and everything you could want from a Bulldog, Loyal, affectionate, dependable with the gentlest temperament.
Behaviour:
Layla is a lover not a fighter and will shy away from rough play and she has no interest in toys.
Layla will need on going training to take treats gently as she can snatch.
Layla is frightened of loud sudden noises and hoovers; she will run to her crate to hide.
Needs:
Layla needs a calm but active family environment, with a family that will include her in all that is family life.
A garden is a must.
Layla is crate trained it is advised that her forever family continue with this and have a crate for her for continuity as she settles.
Layla would benefit from a calm and laid back dog in the home, to show her new routines, help to continue to build her confidence and keep her company.
Walk/exercise:
Layla loves her walks; she walks well in company or alone and she enjoys exploring her surroundings but never ventures far.
Layla will happily interact with unfamiliar dogs and will come away when recalled.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Layla is a very good girl.
Travel:
Layla loves a car ride. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours of her current location.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE**
Things to be aware of:
Layla will be adopted on a “to be spayed” contract, she will be recalled Oct 2025 for spay. To be spayed at a vet of the charity’s choosing cost covered by the charity.
Layla will not be rehomed with any entire dogs.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Meet Layla, a gentle, loving soul who’s searching for her forever family. Layla is the kind of dog who lives for affection—she’ll softly nuzzle your hand or lean in for cuddles every chance she gets. Her heart is as big as her puppy-dog eyes, and she only wants to be close to the people she loves. Despite her constant craving for love, Layla is incredibly well-behaved. She walks calmly on a leash, has excellent recall, and enjoys her walks off-lead, always staying close and checking in. Her calm, respectful nature makes her a joy to be around, whether at home or out on adventures. Layla would make the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend who will always be by their side.
Layla’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
**Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog. If you cannot agree to this, please don’t apply**

Layla’s story.
Please welcome the very beautiful but sadly neglected Layla into the arms of our Springboard Family.
We were recently contacted by a family who had seen Layla advertised for sale on a selling site. She is 3 years old, and she has been bred from.
When she was viewed, the people just couldn’t leave her where she was, they were upset and disgusted at how she was treated so they took her home and contacted us to see if we could take her and within a few days, we were able to get her into foster
So, this weekend Layla made her way into temporary foster with Laura Mackintosh where she is enjoying having lots of attention and love and experiencing freedom the run of the house and garden
Layla is obviously underweight, and her back end is weak from being left in a limited space in her previous life. She has a few sores on her body and had filthy ears when she came in
Layla will stay will Laura for a week before she will move to the Northwest and into the care of Jason Priss and his family who will continue her foster journey.
We want to thank you both for offering to take Layla into foster for us. We just could not operate without the support of our foster network, so thank you both very much, we really appreciate it
