Maggie – now adopted

Maggie is a sassy, quirky, playful young girl. She loves to tease her foster parents into giving chase when she has a toy and loves any kind of fuss and attention. She isn’t an early riser, but once she gets up, her energy levels rise until they peak in the evening. This gorgeous girl would play all day if she could.

She is great out on her walks, and although she can understand commands such as sit, paw, stay and down, her recall is typical of English Bulldogs, very hit and miss!

Maggie has learned how to ‘share’ her toys with the resident female bulldog and we see no reason why she can’t be rehomed with another happy friendly dog.

Dogs name: Maggie

Age:  1 Year, 6 months

Can live with children:  Yes

Can live with dogs: Yes, friendly playful dogs

Can live with cats:  Yes

Current location:  Woking, Surrey

Things to be aware of:

Maggie is a smart girl who will quickly suss out and exploit any avenues whereby she will get away with naughty behaviour. Without firm boundaries, she will happily run amok and do whatever she likes, this will cause problems and she will be almost uncontrollable. Maggie was returned because of her behaviour.

The ideal home:

Maggie would benefit from a calm household where she can happily play and be a part of a loving family who will play with her and take her on adventures.

She will bulldozer around the place so any young children would need to be supervised.

Whilst Maggie’s owners don’t need to have Bulldog ownership experience, they must be willing to work with her.

Other comments:

Maggie has been described as a ‘give her an inch and she will take a mile’ kind of girl.

She has bags of personality but came back into foster all over the place emotionally as she had been suffering from a phantom pregnancy and then was found to be in the early stages of Pyometra.

Her fosters have worked hard to give Maggie boundaries and she has come on leaps and bounds, she is a bright girl but needs to know where her place is in the family.

It is essential her new family understands this. Maggie needs a pack leader, lots of exercise and a good diet to get the best from her.

Maggie really is a very lovely girl, she is stubborn and quirky but once you get an understanding of her, any new owner will love her like we do.

We will consider a new home for Maggie up to 4 hours from her current location in Woking, Surrey,

Maggie’s adoption donation fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
